I get why you blow air around the plug before pulling it, keep any debris or dirt from falling into your top end, but im confused as to why you would blow air when the plugs are actually out. Aren't you then possibly pushing any debris, dirt into the top end since the plugs are out?
@FixItAngel
@FixItAngel 9 жыл бұрын
Hello, From my experience before. There is still a little dirt when I remove the plugs so I just blast air again. There's no way to get all the dirt out when the plugs are off. It's just a little dirt but if it was a pebble and tiny rocks, then it would be a problem. Thanks for the question. Please subscribe.
@phantomshtter
@phantomshtter 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, don't blow air down there once the plugs are out. Do a few good blasts before and a few once you've backed the plug out half way.

I just did this on 2002 Camry 2AZ-FE. Found that there was a drop of oil on the bolt hole for the #3 ignition coil. Is there a grommet or seal inside the valve cover for the ignition bolts? Can't find such a part when I looked online. Not sure why I saw drop of oil there. Spark plug holes and ignition coils are totally dry. Thanks. BTW, I didn't use anti-seize and torqued to 18 ft-lbs. Had read that 18 ft-bs is the dry torque.
@FixItAngel

I have no idea what it could be. I never experienced that. It's ok if you did not use anti-seize. Welcome. Please Subscribe.

HELP. I had my spark plug changed few days ago, but my car still misfires. Main issue I’m having tho is it won’t start right way. Mechanic told me I need to change all 4 spark plugs and coils but couldn’t figure out why it won’t start right way. Battery is good, fuel pump is good, except for 2 bad spark plugs and coils everything seems fine. Any suggestions why it won’t start?
@FixItAngel
@FixItAngel 6 жыл бұрын
Bye Felicia hi, what was the fuel pressure when you leave the car off for 30 minutes. The mechanic would have told you that. Problem could be fuel pressure regulator not holding pressure when car is off.
@OneLove-ik8kh
@OneLove-ik8kh 6 жыл бұрын
Fix It Angel thank a lot for replying. I actually don’t know what the fuel pressure is, or even where to check tbh but just knowing that could be the issue is a big help. I’ll look in to it. If u have any suggestions on how I should check, I would greatly appreciate it

Fix It Angel just as an update. Replaced the spark plugs, coil plug boots and made sure all the broken clips were zip tied; the engine light immediately turned off. Car was overheating as well, hope it isn’t the head gasket, but so far so good. 🤞 Mind u I did all of that from watching KZbin videos, so thnxs for ppl like u, I saved money. Big ups 👏

Fix It Angel Fair enough I did not know it was broken. I tried to put mine back on and did not know how then I started looking on the utube. I thought there was a trick to put those back on. I did not realise at all that I broke it. I thought that's how it comes off. Thanks.

+Fix It Angel Thanks. I just started working on my car after an accident. So all of this is new to me. Your son is lucky to learn so young. Car knowledge is a valuable asset. I had oil in my plugs, the gasket was gone. Car has 170k miles on it. So now Im waiting for the gasket and plugs to be delivered. Hopefully the coils are still good. PCV valve was clogged as well.
