You do SUCH a good job of not assuming that people already know certain things. You explain it just in case. As a beginner, this is so comforting. Thank you!

Yeah it's frustrating to see so many tutorials that assume so much pre-requisite knowledge. I love Nick's tutorials

Great video, a few workflow tips. 1. ctrl-shift-a to select none. 2. Instead of making two rects/circles, you can use select-shrink to clear the inside of a selection. It also allows you to control the size of the border with pixel precision.

I really appreciated the fact that while this tutorial and the logo we are making is super simple and easy, it tremendously focuses on how the layer mechanics work. Im amazed by how helpful this is, you earned a serious subscriber sir!🔥🔥🔥

It's better practice to not deselect after creating the circle and then shrinking the selection. That way you are sure the center is not skewed ;) Thanks for sharing your insight on this! Much appreciated!

I have managed to make this logo on Inkscape. First as a circle and as a rectangle, we convert them to path, break nodes, after that convert stroke to path to move away the lines.
