I was successful in propagating the Bougainville plant by covering it with a half-cut bottle, but couldn't save it later. May be the timing to uncover the lid was not done in time. Could you provide details on the uncovering part pls?

It's just for places where humidity is low, you don't need to cover it. Just use some good rooting hormone and you are good to go without covering it. I propagate mostly of my bougainvillea cuttings like this . Try to keep the soil moist , and check is not wet .

I have the same problem. I am super unsuccessful in propagating stem cutting. 😢 almost all the leaves turn yellow and start to die after I remove the cover. No matter at what stage I remove it. 😭 let me know if you found a solution.

@@sofiaali6888 agar polybag se cover kiya hai aapne jaise maine kiya h to aap suddenly polybag na hataye... 8-10 days k baad jab usme buds aa jaye to polybag me holes karde..let bougainvillea slowly adapt the outside environment...im still in the process... Leaves aane par hata de uske baad bhi dhyan rakhe humidity ka... Aise jagah rakh do jaha temperature zyada na ho...thanda ho...water spray kare...i hope this might help

Watering Issues: Once leaves appear, the cuttings need consistent watering, but not soggy soil. Drastic change in watering habits after polythene removal can stress the plant. Solution: Monitor Soil Moisture: Check the soil daily. It should be slightly moist but not wet. Water only when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Reduce Watering Frequency: Initially, you might need to water more frequently after removing the polythene. However, as the roots develop, watering frequency can decrease.
