Simple Miao Dao Combo & Basic Strike Drills - Rosa Mei

Here's a super easy miao dao combo for training strikes, timing and use of hips. Remember: hips weapon, hips weapon, hips weapon, hips weapon, ie the hips initiate the movement of the weapon, not the arms... often when we practice weapons with targets we start to focus only on the strike and that can lead to stiff moves and manipulating the weapon with only the arms and shoulders. Stay relaxed, move from the hips and stay connected to the ground.

Thanks for your kind words, Robert! It wasn't so cold, only about -2 or so. We trained when it was -10 as well. Winter boots help :)
