I was confused and it turned out that The Hair section is now called Curves. It's below the Performance section in your screenshot, well, in the middle. Just expand it to see the familiar options. Furthermore, the Hair Info node in the Shader Editor is now called Cuves Info.

to "keyframe the turbulence forcefield" simply select the turbulence object, hit the "i" key, and then choose what kind of keyframe you're adding, location keyframe here. Then just use G to grab, move the turbulence object, I limit mine to 60 frames and then at the end of the 60 frames just move it back to the start position. Saved you a google, you're welcome.

how in the world did you draw that texture in photoshop? how did you build your pallette? how did you make real time reapeating sections? how did you vary the colors slightly in the kyles fast grass brush? A: okay. 1: the kyles fast grass brushes are under the "concept" brush pack after selecting get more brushes (saw it in the picture km) 2: i dont know how he built his color palate so neatly but its easy enough to build and download a color "theme" using adobe colors 3: by selecting pattern preview under the view tab this repeating view occurs automatically. 4: there are some pretty involved brush settings but when downloading a new brush pack kyle's fast grass 3 comes with a little color variance built in 5: he leveled off and brightened the color using a little transparent white at the end but to get a more balanced level it suffices to use a large sample size eyedropper color instead

I don't use blender, because I'm interested in 2d atm but the format is quit cool, for the fact that you don't have to watch everything that goes in a normal tutorial. Can't seem to figure this out but when I try to extrude the mesh and add the "lumpyness" , the grass/hair deforms and with the faces and no longer stands straight. Can anyone help with this or have the answer? Im guessing im missing something in the hair settings :/

Hey! so to add flowers, duplicate the hair emitter, add your flowers/other plants to a new collection. in the new emmitter settings, go to 'render' and set it from 'path' to collection, and chose the NEW collection with the flowers in it. tweak sizes and seeds to get a randomness you like.

You need to increase the amount of particles from 1000, the issue with that however is a drop in frame rate. I don't know how to fix that yet.

Because it's a particle system, not an object. You could probably do the same, but have it as an object, but I don't know how.

Because it's getting the colour directly from the image. Swap out the emission shader for a diffuse shader (I think) and it'll react to light.
