great video! i was in florida for the first time in december 2019 staying in the tampa area for a month. got my fishing license and went fishing at one of the piers, buying some raw shrimp - not live like yours - along the way and fished like i've done from piers in california. caught abought a 16" snook - first one ever. i asked a guy what kind of fish it was, he said snook and out of season and i said it's my first one and he replied that some guys fish and fish and have never caught one!
@TiltedGames2 жыл бұрын
As a lifelong Tampa resident I can attest he was right. Shrimp get hoovered by anything in the ocean, and dead ones even faster than live. Snook will eat dead shrimp but they are active predators and prefer live food. You got a very rare snag with a decent size snook on dead shrimp, right place at the right time! Nice job!

Make sure when your tightening down your knots especially the one you retied after you broke off, you wet the knot before tightening. It lubricates the line so it doesn't rub against itself so hard. Nice catch too!
