This really resonated with me. I am currently losing weight, I am 36 pounds down, and the more way I lose the slower, the progress, naturally. I find myself desiring to get to my goal weight, and being unhappy with where I currently am, When if I met myself 36 pounds ago, that version of myself would be so happy to know that I got to even this point. I think when you’re on your way to getting what you want and desire, it’s easy to just look ahead at how far you have, instead of looking back and seeing how far you have come. I need to be present, be proud of the place that I’m at TODAY in my journey.

I find it helpful to start my day by writing down things I'm grateful for. It really helps me stay positive and centered.

The only people that disagree that they own their happiness are the people destined to failure. Tough to say but true. Theadore Roosevelt Lost his wife and mother within a few hours of each other. This was also the same day his wife gave birth to his first child. Btw this was all way before he became president. So, horrible situations or tough ones are not an excuse
