I am the sales director of a small business that turns over about 8m a year, so I’m by no means a master seller, but I’m no novice. The issue I see here is that he has a scarcity mindset. He’s assuming that he has to sell to everybody, because there’s not enough people who actually want to buy. He’d be better off cold calling 4.5 days a week and using the other 0.5 days going to qualified appointments only that have a higher chance of converting. Sales is a numbers game. There’s enough pie to go round, no need to turn something in to pie when it’s already there, just gotta find it!
@boomernality19049 ай бұрын
He probably did do this tbf. I think it what he was selling was very high ticket. Also it's much easier to sell to someone if you're in front of them compared to on the phone or over a email. I'm a door to door salesman in the UK for about a year now. I don't have a business that turns over 8 million obviously but he was successful doing this even though it seems like a waste of time.

@davidsalinas9 Жыл бұрын
He fucked up. Even with the info just splurging info to see if it sticks won't sell jack shit. Only if you're lucky. You have to point out the obvious as to why you're relevant for them. Why you're an asset for them. It's not about giving them something extra to worry about its about creating a solution to better their lives. The hard part is getting them to recognize why you're product or service will benefit them in particular. It's not about just giving info then you're just an info man. Not a salesman. The salesman qualifies the customer.
@TheRealMawusi Жыл бұрын
He’s not gonna just info splurge, that hook is a set up to inform some one of all the ways your product is beneficial to them and how it can make their lives easier, better and bring value to them. It’s just the starting line to get that conversation going we use it in car sales all the time. How can you be interested in something if you don’t know about it or how it can improve your life? 🤷🏾♂️

These fake guru scammers should be jailed. Also, this is a great example of why salesmen are absolute sleeze. Tell them not to come by, they show up anyway. Tell them you're not interested, they just keep pushing. Hang up on them, they call right back. Block their number, they call again from the next number up the phone bank. Go to close your door on them, they stick their foot in the frame and try to force their way in.
