I am 67 yrs. Start a retirement plan and save as much $ as possible starting when you're young. Be frugal. Shop at thrift stores. Don't pay for cable. Only buy what you need. Cook, eating out cost too much. Keep a monthly budget.

In Australia Super annunciation (our equivalent of 401k) gets taxed to oblivion (over 40%) if you retire before 55-60 (depends when you were born and it is going to get higher). Planning other investments here is so important.

Spot on! At 7:05 the worksheet shown I have been using since 2014. Such simple sheet but works wonders I can check right away what I did in 2015 or 2019 n so.. though my worksheet has evolved with multiple worksheet sheets but this main tracker is my fav n all one needs. One addition to give here wld be below the balance like I put my assets which I cannot put in income to know my total net worth. Like mutual funds I don’t keep in income area as I won’t be cashing in anytime soon.. so it goes below balance and then there’s total balance

most banks/credit unions have options on their web pages namely automated transfers. how much? where to? weekly? monthly? bi-weekly? in one year i saved $180 weekly (am paid weekly) to my retirement savings. Holy crap does it add up fast. the transfer happens automatically, i never see it there or gone and have learned to live without it well. credit union told me if i didn't have a computer the teller would set it up for me at no charge. Direct deposit is yer friend... 🥰
