Thank you very much for your channel! I am from small country from Europe. In our country, there is a small number of homeschooling kids. I am a Christian and I found that homechooling exists when I started to be a member of Babtist church in one small town. (pastor ´s family is from America). I am so encouraged to do homeschooling if Gods willl bless me and my husband with kids. And I love your videos, advices. There is no material for homeshooling in our country - only common school books :/ But I got so big inspiration from you! God bless you and thank you!

Good morning! My youngest children are 6 and 7 years old. Both are somwhat reluctant readers. We are working on reading Busy Times. Thank you for the reminder to keep lessons short! I have a tendency to make them too long. Both are eager to learn more about spelling. The steps you gave me in this video are so helpful. Thank you!

I have a reluctant reader who finished Abeka K5 last year. The rules are what I think made him dislike reading. That and lots of seat work and drills. :( now I’m trying to undo that so that he loves to read. I already started our Charlotte mason curriculum this week, but I might purchase this and try it!

If your child is reading books, chapter books, but we didn’t finish these kits and therefore didn’t finish learning some of the rules/phonics etc. do we move on? It feels like I should because they are reading whole books. What do we do next?

Great question! Yes, if your student is ready to move on, by all means do so. You can always go back if you need to, or take out some letter tiles and work on a specific pattern if you notice a consistent area of struggle. Children are all different and they may jump ahead and not need to go through every lesson. Absolutely not! Children are all on different paths and are ready at different ages to learn to read.
