As a former bellow casual player who pretty much only used cappy for captures it’s certainly possible to do however this removes cappy entirely so am excited to see the trick jumpery you have up your sleeve that doesn’t require cap bounces or vaulting

Another SMO loophole: Cappy transforms himself into different hats. Even if it's literally bone. These transformations imply he could transform into anything, say perhaps, Bowser or Mario. Why not go himself when he discovers who Bowser is? He could easily even transform into a dragon. He can indefinitely capture Bowser. He wouldn't have worn a wedding outfit to destroy an airship fleet and capture a princess. So, just capture him and throw him off the Cap cliffs.

While marioless took place after the mafia video where mario died (according to a comment by chiptuni ) This can take place after illegal murder where the ban was lifted but cappy wasn't pardoned for his crimes and the entire quest is to save peach to pardon him

This reminded me of an argument I had one time on reddit where a guy tried to tell me Cappy in SMO is just a dumb gimmic that doesn't add anything to the game and proceed to claim he beat the entire game without using him even though even back then the speedrun for minimum captures was at like, 12, not to mention all the movement that involves Cappy and is necessary to complete the game.
