Today I am making an easy recipe for my Abuelita's arroz con leche. My Grandmother would make this to warm everyone up during the cold mornings. It sometimes was breakfast but always a treat. You can also add raisins and extra ground cinnamon to this recipe.

INGREDIENTS
4 cups (946 ml) water
1 cinnamon stick (5 g)
1/2 cup (90 g) long grain rice (rinsed)
1/4 tsp (1.25 g) salt
1/4 cup (52 g) sugar
12 fl oz (355 ml) evaporated milk (For dairy-free use coconut milk)
2 tsp (9.5 ml) vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup (80 g) raisins
