LuLu Bell easy, don't put so many different products in there! Shampoo and conditioner is enough and trim off the split ends. Voila you have long hair if you do this. Oh and maybe some patience 🙈

Don't blow dry, dye it, straighten it, curl it, etc. Don't even use really hot water in the shower. Use an expensive hair conditioner, or at least something better then store brand, and use a conditioner that gives you the best results. Don't be afraid to play around and don't get stuck on one brand if it isn't giving you dream results. I personally love Tresemme. Leave it in your hair as long as possible before washing it out. Only wash it a couple times a week (unless it gets really sweaty/greasy), otherwise pin it up in the shower. Trim the very ends when they get frizzled. Gently brush and use leave in conditioner (I use my a bit of my conditioner with water in a spray bottle). Keep it up most of the time. My hair is over three feet long and naturally blonde. It's one of the softest things I've ever felt, root to tip, thick and shiny, and hardly ever tangles.

Don't use harsh chemicals (dyes, perms, bleach, etc.), don't use heated tools without protective conditioners meant for use with heated tools and then use them rarely, and above all, DON'T CUT IT! I actually had a client once, that lamented that her hair just wouldn't grow, yet she had her butt in my chair every four weeks for a "trim". If you trim off half an inch every four weeks, there went all your growth onto the floor. Patience is key. That being said, genetics also plays a role here. People with strong Asian genetics tend to be able to grow their hair longer. Generally, their hair is thicker, too. Some people of European ancestry can grow long hair, some can't. Very few people with mostly African ancestry can grow long hair. That's why so many black women wear weaves, braids or dreads. It's really hard for some people to grow their hair past shoulder length. Just be as patient as you can and use the best conditioner you can afford, keeping in mind that more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. Find what works for you. Some stylists (and most beauty colleges, which are CHEAPER,) can do some analyses on your hair's strength and recommend products (or ingredients IN products that you should look for) that could help.

Very true! Though there are a lot of struggles that come with it. Mine is almost to my waist and it's so hard to zip up my coat without getting my hair caught in it, I have to pull it back when I brush my teeth plus so many other things. The best there is is chunky glitter (like what NYX makes), but nothing fine-milled. I mean, you could probably mix disco dust with something to make a highlighter, but I'm not sure it's skin-safe.
