@Megan Strobel i dont recall hearing that 🤔 but i could be mistaken! i remember in previous videos she posted especially while having her allergy tests she said she would consider hiring outside hand models but didnt do it because (thank goodness) her results showed no allergies to polish. The only swatcher photos i had seen too were watermarked which i assume means they weren't paid to take those? Ben and cristine tend to work very independently so im not sure! To give you the longest answer ever

One time I only received half my order. I contacted customer service, sent pictures of my shipping manifest, and received the rest of my order in a couple of days. Things happen sometimes, but great customer service really smooths the bumps.

I completely agree. It's clear how much Holo Taco brings Cristine joy. I just want her to be happy and follow her dreams because this is such a cool opportunity for her. People who are truly fans of her should be supporting her in whatever she wants to do. I wanted to say that for the “too close” launches or “too far apart” I think the bigger issue was not the time line but that people had just purchased a collection and then a singular limited edition polish came out and for most people it wasn’t feasible to purchase another order of a single polish especially if they just stocked up. Maybe for limited edition polishes you could put them out at the same time as a bigger collection? Or let us know. It would save on shipping for us and allow more people to get it!

That would actually make it worse though for buyers in the US who can’t afford full collections all at once but can afford to buy single LE polishes if they’re spaced out more. Purchasing one polish at a time is what many people have to do for the collections anyway, I think more people would be negatively affected if they did this.

100% agree. I was lowkey annoyed when I bought my collection box for multi-chrome and then Got Cake came out right after. It stung to pay the shipping price for one bottle of nail polish when I usually haven't had to pay shipping. I hope next year they do spread out the collections more. Rainbow, Anniversary, Multi-Chrome, and Birthday really did come back to back this year.

Also, as an addition: I rarely wear nail polish and live in the EU, so I can't justify the price of purchasing Holo Taco for myself. I still watch Cristine's videos, including the HT aimed ones, and I have never once felt like I was watching a commercial. I just feel she's genuinly super excited to show her babies to the public. Of course I know it is partly financially motivated, but they're still enjoyable videos aside from that.

I've seen how responsive the Holo Taco team is on Twitter when anyone advises of a quality issue. You can tell how much quality means to this company and as a customer, it is very appreciated. I haven't had an issue, but know that if one came up, it would be dealt with quickly.

RE: the mixing and selling of all the polishes - I think you could still do this, film yourself mixing and doing them on a live stream with a bidding option, and then the highest bidder gets a custom mixed polish by you. All the money from the auction could go to a charity that you feel passionate about or a charity of the highest bidders choice :)

I'm not a nail polish expert, but they may have some legal issues with selling the polish if Cristine just mixes it in her house since that's not the most sterile/sanitary environment (not saying they're dirty people but they have cats in their home and most cosmetics are not manufactured in homes). If they could have a way to make it in a sterile/clean environment and wouldn't have any legal concerns, then I think this could be a fun idea!

re: the resellers and bots, I can't remember if the Holo Taco site has Captcha test, but when the newest Nvidia video card came out, sites that had captcha were the only ones that didn't get completely wiped by bots within seconds of launch.

I love that Cristine and Ben keep saying "the team" wherever they refer to the other people involved to the business whether that means the lab, the suppliers, shipping, etc. I've never heard another business owner say that before and it's really refreshing and shows that they really do think about Holo Taco with the team in mind and appreciate the team. I think it’s really cool that you’ve grown from doing nail art on KZbin to having your own nail brand. People are so resistant to change they just want everything to stay the same. If we did that we wouldn’t have Holo Taco.

The people who are truly invested in you, your content, holo taco and your success, health and happiness, we KNOW you are doing your best at balancing out everything. Something you can do to limit scalping going forwards- pull up the information of the people reselling them and block the address/name so those individuals cannot buy future launches. It doesn’t always work, but it’ll help mitigate.

Holo taco is about the best nail polish I’ve ever used (I was an esthetician and nail tech for years) and I love how you’ve branched out while staying true to your brand. I completely agree. Cristine made that Simply content when she didn't have an entire company to run and nail polishes to test. I totally understand and support her in stepping back from the Simply channel to focus on Holo Taco, the podcast, her day job, etc... There aren't enough hours in the day to do everything. She'd be getting a lot of flak if she spread herself thin and made poor polish as well as low-quality Simply videos. I'd rather her do amazing with her polish, have this fun podcast, and post simply videos when she can.

I think about how hard my life is, and then I think about Cristine doing all of this while having a full-time job and I'm just in awe of how much work she is putting into everything she cares about. If she can't make some silly videos on her Simply channel, it's okay. I also like this podcast more because 1) I enjoy this more calm and natural side of Cristine and Ben and 2) I like knowing how low-key this is for them to make. I know what it's like to be chronically stressed and over-worked, the LAST thing I would want is for Cristine to feel that from us, the people who are supposed to love and support her creative endeavors.

I ordered some Holo Taco and got it sent to me to send in a care package to a friend, but then I realized that there could be problems with mailing nail polish! I contacted the customer support team at Holo Taco and they took time out of their day to help me figure out how to mail it to my friend, even though it was completely my mistake for not figuring it out before I got the product shipped to me. Your company is the best!
