@mohamedtoure43886 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Gavrin Nobody except Suge and his baby momma knew until 2011 when Greg Kading's book came out. Poochie Fouse was one small dude but a ruthless killer who wasn't to be messed with. I heard he had 5 or 7 bodies to his name.
@mohamedtoure43886 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Gavrin Neckbone was in prison at the time I think. Other members the MOB Piru were there but I think Poochie had a female spotter. Poochie was certainely the shooter since he owed an aqua green Chevy Impala in fact Theresa Swann said that when she met with Poochie after the shooting to give him extra cash his car appeared to have been recently repainted. About Gene Deal, he's a likeabl guy but he isn't reliable and he's change stories so many times.
@mohamedtoure43886 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Gavrin The guy they saw was not Poochie, nobody saw Poochie's face because the people who were in Biggie's car ducked as soon as he shooter started firing his weapon. Plus nobody saw the Nation of Islam guy enter the car, in fact witnesses said the Impala eas lying in wait further down on the side of the road.

What I find so funny about this speech is that there's a complete shift in tone that would feel so out of place in an Itchy & Scratchy cartoon. If you imagine Poochie actually delivering this heartfelt speech in the middle of one of their segments, it's hilarious. Even when Poochie is owning up to his mistakes, he's still stealing the spotlight.

Would’ve been funnier if he actually did give that speech and they then immediately killed him

Well I mean, the alternative was killing off Poochie, in a show where characters are killed off routinely and come back the next episode. It really shows how absolutely no one meshed Poochie into the standard creative process.

While the majority of this episode is a mockery of soulless marketing and writing, this was a pretty poignant reminder, for every lame and unpopular character that is created for a work, there is usually at least someone who had a hand in it and had a genuine passion for them. They just wanted to create something entertaining, even if they sadly didn't quite get how to do it.

It's the harsh reality of show business once that character was proven to be disliked they are rarely if ever given another shot they couldn't take another hit to their ratings which is all that mattered to them in the end. For what it's worth i bet Homer would have really turned the character around but there's also proof to the contrary his ideas to fix the character are pretty bad.

To be honest, I think the others were genuinely okay with Homer but you can see Roger Meyers Jr is the only one indifferent about it and he joins in only after everyone else is already clapping. Subtle things like that, which point it was all Roger Meyer's idea (with him even dubbing Homer if you listen to the "I must go now, my planet needs me") is why Simpsons used to be so good.

I feel like they did go with Homer's lines at first, but a few moments before air time, they decided against it, which is why the final result is just the cell animation frame being pulled off screen. Also, if you look at Poochie's face where he was dubbed about his planet needing him, his face looks sincere and about to say something emotional.

I mean, this is especially where I don't undestand people attacking actors for their characters like Rose in the Last Jedi. The problem could be the actor, or it could be the writer, the director, the producer, the studio, focus groups, agents, contract negociators... The problem could be any of a thousand people, it's more likely you're harassing an innocent person who had nothing to do with the complaints you had.

@Keko Novotny Honestly I haven’t gotten that feeling consistently from the Simpsons since around Season 10

@Keko Novotny well I’ve seen a couple of decent episodes past it but I’d say the last season I properly watched it was Season 18, the last season before the Simpsons movie. I watch the odd episode here and there after that but usually they’re really bad
@r.pizzamonkey73792 жыл бұрын
@Keko Novotny I don't know if I'd agree with creative premises, i think most of them are pretty lazy, but the animation is smooth and the voice actors continuing to do their best is really impressive (especially marge, how do her vocal chords still work at this point?)
@hobomike69352 жыл бұрын
Rose was the ONLY character I thought was somewhat likable in the sequel trilogy. They'd already ruined all the OT characters; Jake skywalker, Leia and Han abandoning everything they stood for in character growth, A completely absent Lando Calrissian till the final movie. Their new characters were just bad. Rose Tico had some cringe lines, sure, but at least her actor tried (I'm looking at you, Daisy Ridley, standing there with your mouth open like a cow for entire scenes, and Poe's terrible "somehow palpatine returned" line) Tico's actor, I can't remember her name, actually was expressive and put a shred of emotion in her lines and in her facial expressions.

I think the point of the episode is that there is no fix for a stale show. People like the idea of change but don't actually like change, and even if they like the original they won't watch it because it's been on too long. Basically the Simpsons writers venting their frustrations. Lisa herself said there's nothing wrong with the show. This teaches us some important lessons. When fans complain about a show being the same, a new character is introduced and when the character is introduced, the fans whine and complain like a bunch of babies, so they get rid of the new character with no regrets. On the other side of the spectrum, when introducing a new character, we shouldn’t try to be relevant or give them tons of skills. If there are tons of traits for the new character with no development or flaws, there’s no character at all.
