F1 24 Controller Settings Guide: How To Fix The Handling & Have Better Control

What worked for me on a PS4 controller was putting 120% steeeing rate and 180° (minimum) steering rotation. Feels a lot like F1 23, not perfect, but incredibly better.

120 degrees rotation! Thats extreme. I didn't try going that far down, mid 300's felt good to me but glad you have it set up nicely. Hopefully this will help others wanting to try your settings.

@SimRacingSetups Yes, I've been doing some further testing and either extreme works. Also 100% steering rate (default) and 505° steering rotation works just fine, maybe even better. But that's for my driving style on a dualshock 4, trying to get a similar feel to F1 23. I tried your settings and unfortunately didn't feel comfortable, but everyone will have their own "feel" for the car anyway, so I hope this helps * someone * haha thanks as always for your great videos!

I use the same I did in 23 and it works just fine: max steering rate (160°) and minimum steering rotation (180°). I didnt change vibration cause my dualshock 3 has enough vibration (which is way more than that of any other pad)

I find this setup is great for numbing those minor adjustments in between corners or for flat out corners, but for slow corners (1-2-3 gear) the car overrates a lot on exit. And in quick, non flat corners it feels like its twitchy as hell because its overcorrecting. Having said that, time trial seems to be slightly quicker using this, so not sure if its more practice or the car bouncing all over the shop is quicker

I think also the assists are a bit off this year. I usually use tc at full and brake assist at low just to give me the assurance I won't spin on corner entry and exit. This year I'm on tc medium and brake assist off. I found that I was bogging down on exit because of the tc and getting big time oversteer on entry. I think the brake assist is broken and is applying too much brake on entry causing the car to snap.

I use an Xbox controller, so to keep a natural feeling, i use X for gear up and A for gear down, having my thumb arched down over the A button was not comfortable nor felt natural

Using a non-FFB steering wheel + PS4 here... (Trying to help my non-technical friend fix his game) Where's the setting to turn off the "steering restriction" when moving at higher speeds? I've turned off steering assist to "OFF" and still getting issues as follows......As the car goes faster, the wheel's sensitivity goes way down and changes dynamically depending on your car's speed and makes this awful to drive. How to disable this? It's like they've made it easier for kids to play, but is completely unrealistic and not fun at all. Thanks if anyone can help.

I prefer it to f123, imo once you tweak your settings and create custom set ups you can be genuinely fast, as well it shouldn't be an easy thing to drive an f1 car, I like it as a challenge to control the car, I had more hours played on f122 than f123 because of this
