So glad you went the sc2 route! I came from a dd1 and experienced issues with emi, and a strong grainy feeling after a software update. Since switching to the sc2 pro, I have had no issues and it feels smooth as butter. It’s the best wheelbase out there and will last! Can’t wait to see more content from you.

That's like going from a 1988 Honda Civic to a Porsche GT3! I went from a Fanatec DD2 to the SC2 and I thought the difference was so obvious! The fidelity, the smoothness, better filters, etc. Just a WAY better driving experience IMO. I even drove a buddies rig with a SC2 Sport and to be honest, with the Sport set at 15Nm and 55% gain in ACC, it also felt WAY better than the DD2! I know most want the Pro, but in all honesty, I tested both the Sport and Pro back to back (both set to same 15Nm) and if you blindfolded me, there is no way I could tell the difference. Long story still long, there is a reason the SC2's are so highly regarded. Just wish I made the switch sooner!

@@grimreaper8038 I believe the Sport w 17nm would be a more than adequate dd base, however I’ve never done a comparison. I run Pro around 9 to 12 nm max. The price difference at the time I bought made sense to jump to pro. Either model, I think SC2 along w True Drive Software is a solid buy.🙂

Ive found good bases do in fact mske me faster. If you have a base that gells with you. That has great loading and unloading feel. Something that can allow you to ride the limits of grip at all times like being right on that egde and snap right when you need it to. Or go lose in just the right way letting you know oversteer or losing grip and boom catch. These things imo def make you a faster driver and more consistent. Thats how I feel on my simagic ultimate. The ultimate and the simucube are the only 2 bases that have given me that perfect feel I gel with.

I run 60% in true drive and it provides every bit of fidelity I need. But go for whatever you feel safe with, doesn't clip, and gives you the detail you need to not be charged for armco repairs at the ring :).
