Wrong & was her biggest issue, she didn’t know who she was or what she actually believed in. She literally put her children through so much turmoil and chaos in the home they had to remove her at one time. Her son committed suicide after the years of living within her existence, that speaks huge volumes. She now went & selfishly took her own life when she could have repaired the damage on her other children she inflicted.

Wowwwwwwww. I just happen to stumble across this performance. I'm utterly blown away. The version I'm familiar with was when she first came out - uncomparable voice. Now with years lived, her voice is even more powerful. She got me in tears. I don't know how she performed this song without any herself. Unbelievable loss to humanity.

She wiped her tears at the end just as the camera was pulling away. She was really emotional every time she sang it. I saw her in Dublin in a really tiny venue about 15 years ago after she had done a tour and was exhausted; she asked the audience if we minded that she didn’t sing it as she emotionally just couldn’t face it. The vulnerability and pain she expressed was met with total support and understanding as she thanked us through the tears. I wanted to hold and comfort her/ someone/ anyone but of course it couldn’t happen. But I wasn’t the only one in tears that night and as I gave her the thumbs up and said “it’s ok love” (from 3 or 4 feet away) she whispered thank you. I have absolutely no idea how she carried on but she did, she swallowed the pain and carried on as she always tried to in her life. But she had reached the end and just couldn’t any longer. She was the most incredible, passionate, vulnerable, honest and brave person whom we were blessed to witness through her incredible voice, both in song and speech. At last the pain and suffering on this earth has ended and I know your spirit and love will always be with your children. Rest in pure peace Sinead. Love from Northern Ireland 💚

I do have a different feeling about Sinead than other musicians in my life, and music is everything to me. My friends insisted I go get a scalped ticket in a small venue her first American tour, and I was up close center. That concert changed my life. I got my own voice back, I traveled to visit my family in Ireland and learned music. I've had similar struggles as she has, but I purposefully distanced myself from her during those times as not to emulate her. Now I'm heartbroken for her. My brother in law of nearly 30 years (whose sons we'd helped raise) and my brother both took their lives just before her son did, and I was hospitalized over it. Edit: and on my first date with my still husband in 1990, I sang and played a Sinead song. He found me a band that week.

😢Somehow I never got around to listening to Sinéad's voice or to knowing her. Her youthful passing has brought her sublime talent to my soul. Now she has "gone home" and is finally at peace in the golden light instead of in the darkness that seems to have plagued her volatile existence. However, darkness is necessary to see the stars swirling, streaming through the ether. So dark challenges release new, unimagined possibilities. I hope her son came to her to bring her back to him. Anazing performance, when I was younger , this song was about the love between a woman and a man to me, but now that my mom is gone, it's about missing my mom. O'Conner said that performing this song gave her an opportunity to "spend time" with her mother that died in a car accident when she was 18. Her mother was physically and sexually abuse towards her, yet O'Conner wished she could have given her mother the love and cared that her mother's tortured soul obviously needed. After her son's suicide at the age of 17, I am sure this song 🎵 became about him. Songs evolutionalize and taken on new meaning depending on what we are going through. Music is powerful. It touches the depths of our souls and deepest emotions. Rest in peace O'Conner. Thank you for your interpretation of this incredible song written by Prince.
