I think Botanic Gardens is not Kebun Bunga, because inside botanical garden not only flowers (bunga), there are also various plants. Maybe "Kebun Botani" or just "Kebun Raya" more suitable. Gardens by the Bay, technically "Taman di Persisiran" is true because it's location is at Persisiran/Pesisir, but the literal translation of "Bay" is "Teluk". Just for your information.

"They should have a connection between Woodlands and Punggol" - another comment mentioned as well. Yeah you'll need to cross over bodies of water, use the Yishun Dam to build tracks. A bus service would be more economical. Alternatively, close down Seletar Airport and shift the Aerospace to Changi. Then build an HDB estate at Seletar. Then close the rivers and reservoirs and reclaim the land. Train tracks only cross over places with residential density - so the scenario I gave is the only way they'd connect the lines the way you wanted.

They really shouldn't open any other stations on the red line. The train is already slow enough. They should think about increasing its effeciency instead.

When the circle line finishes I wonder what will happen to Bayfront, maybe the train “terminates” there. unless it will skip Dhoby Ghaut, Bras Basah and Esplanade going straight to Promenade and never stoped. That would be funny lol

Even though the number of lines and stations have increased, I feel travelling time doesn't differ much. Amount of time required to walk, queue when changing line added up with train travelling time is the same as not changing the line.

When your country has so much cash, building several stations just in walking distance
@junhao63

The connectivity makes the country less dependant on cars and the infrastructure that support it. As such parking lots that takes up unnecessarily large amounts of space can be redeveloped into actual useful productive land while turning the country 'greener' by burning less car fuel. I'm not saying that trains are going to inherently burn less oil since it's still coming from the power stations but in this country, our government has probably weighed their options and considered it very thoroughly that connectivity is key to reduce mandatory useless infrastructures in a very land constrained island and cars are the main target.
