Interesting- the teacher corrects the intonation by correcting the technique and not by saying it’s flat/ out of tune. What a wonderful lesson.

Yep, they certainly can sing. I've gone to singing lessons for years, and not once have I 1. Sounded that good 2. Learned that fast. Oh well, we try our best still, it's all we can do. Your voice is a real joy to listen to, definitely keep on singing!

You’re right, she’s chosen someone who has a natural voice anyway, but she’s got some good points. I think it really depends on your teacher as it’s a matter of finding what works for you. Have tried many different teachers?

I sound very similar and I've been having lessons for only about a year, but I passed a band audition with only 4 months of classes. Sometimes we just have an affinity with the teacher, the method, or even with singing

Welp i was a natural si ge before my hor o e therapie lost my cotrol after my voice stsrdet to get deeper Just this video alone helped me so damn much Basicly i belive almost everyone csn sing beutifully but of couse there are a view exeptions Like the people who have opposite of perfect pitch they just dont hesr if they slip off and therefore csnt correct their mistakes they would not even notice they where 5 tones of 😅

I always like to think about singing as the most difficult instrument to learn how to use. Because part of the process of learning to sing, is not just learning how to sing, it's about unlearning the bad habits we picked up from our day to day speaking. I think it's also why learning to sing early on is much easier, its easier to unlearn a bad habit you've had for 3-4 years rather than 30-40 years. It's kind of like typing, if you're left to learn how to type without any instructions you're bound to be incredibly efficient at using two fingers and typing at half of the speed you're capable of.

I also have anxiety about being heard omg thank you for mentioning it. Also I've had a lot of different coaches over the years but you do something momst of them don't where you do positive reinforcement to build confidence - that makes a huge difference.

This was really inspiring. I used to sing and play all the time, but moved to NYC over a decade ago and never felt comfortable being willing to make mistakes and practise uninhibited knowing all the apartments around you can hear. I promptly lost my voice due to lack of practise, but this is a nice reminder that it is something I could probably get back with a little effort and relearning proper technique again. Cheers for the video, great job, Jack

"What do you like about your voice?" "Um" It me 🤣💜 Thank you Lisa, and especially thank you Jac for sharing your experience and your voice. This is really encouraging. For what it's worth I'm a lifelong musician who can sing on pitch fine, but I hate the tone so it's hard to sing even by myself

My love for music is what helps me with courage
