Noel: "Feel free to join me on the chorus..." Crowd: "Feel free to join us on the entire song..."

When oasis said they were getting back together a few months ago, 14 million people tried to get tickets, that's well over a quarter of the entire uk population, talk about one in the eye for all the haters!! Chew on it!!

Hey, Millie 👋 I've seen tonnes of reactions to this particular #Oasis video. However, your natural enthusiasm is way above the rest on KZbin. Thank you.

I remember Oasis the first time round when I was in my 20s, and that whole period of the 90s was great. It's good to see them reform, but I'd be cautious. The old saying is you can never step into the same river twice. Time moves on, and you can never completely recreate what has been and gone. My fear is that after all the anticipation, either their performance will be poor, or even they may not stay together long enough under the pressure. Many bands have tried to reform, recapture their past success and relive that magic and have failed, and there is a huge amount riding on this in terms of legacy, perception and of course - money. However, the 90s were a great decade musically and I was mostly an Oasis fan, so I do really want their comeback to go well. Time will tell. I really do hope for the new generations like yourself who never got to see them live, you will be able to experience something close to what ours did 30 years ago.

The fans from back in the day will be fully aware over time they’ve changed as they have all been following them separately, fuck as fans we can’t do what we did before 🤣 so respectfully think your take is nonsense 😊 as they will, as always stick to the master plan 🎉

I've got 3 tickets to the Edinburgh gig and I cannot wait, this is probably the band that meant the most to me during my teenage years and early twenties back in the mid to late 90's.

Nice and touching reaction. When this song (and the great album) was released i was 13 years old and i bought a guitar (well, my parents) to try to play Don't look back in anger and Wonderwall. I saw them live 4 times and i hope you (and me) can see them live. Vivo en España y espero poder verlos. Ánimo y ojalá tengamos suerte.

I couldn't get tickets either 😢 Glad I managed to see them in 2009. I had tried for years to get tickets to see them, missed out on both Scottish gigs in 05.

19% of the uk population tried to get tickets, they worked that out from internet traffic, if you assume that they all wanted 2 tickets (not inconceivable) thats 25m people in the uk alone.

I got tickets for Mexico. I entered to the pre sale ballot and waited like 2 hours and by the time I got in it was mostly sold out. Would love to see you react to Acquiesce live in Main Road 96’

Amazing. Same age as Noel. The first time I heard this band it was listening to The Beatles for the first time - just a more modern sound.

Two recentish discoveries that you need to check out are Nek! from Japan. As a bassist you will love how much the bass is featured in their songs. Secondly, a more modern sounding band, April Art from Germany. Recommended songs from both. Nek! - Maze or Reigen girl. April Art - Not sorry or Rodeo.

The great thing about good music written and played with soul and passion is that it unites people all over the world. I just came from a reaction of an American rap fan who was blown away to see Bruce Hornsby and The Range's "The Way It Is" when all he knew was the (IMO) inferior Tupac track that (IMO) ripped it off. So whatever the feelings might be over the Falkland Islands (and yes, I'm British so that is what they are), it's still great to see so many ordinary young Argentinians (well, young back then - they'd be about 40 now) letting themselves go to this quintessentially British song.

I find it rather remarkable that Noel Gallagher thought so little of his little brother Liam Gallagher that he never saw his talent as a singer until he joined a band... Liam thought that Noel was 'weird' growing up but knew that he could write songs but was too shy to share it w/ a band. Everybody was slagging on Liam and calling Noel the 'genius' of Oasis... but Oasis would never have happened without Liam - his voice and charisma... and Liam Gallagher proved that fans would rather pay good money to see him perform Oasis songs than his brother Noel perform w/ The High Flying Birds... I mean, 80K people showed up each night at Knebworth in 2022 to see Liam Gallagher... 125K people attended each night of Oasis' Knebworth shows in 1996 at the height of their career. And finally, it was Liam's fiancée Debbie who got the Oasis reunion together in 2024 ... Apparently, she pitched the terms to Noel Gallagher's team (from what I heard) to bring the Gallagher brothers back together as Oasis.
