I had to go back and listen to _Sad But True_ to see what you were referring to. I didn't get it at first, but yeah, I can sorta hear it now.

Thanks for the idea of "Sad but true" in the start, now it has contaminated my mind too. Concerning the Troy challenge, may I offer the suggestion of the contrabassoon?

That's a wind instrument. I wouldn't bet against him on that one. ;)

I know what Troy cannot play. Ice hockey.

Hi Andy, you asked for an Anette song to react: My favourite Anette song is "Meadows of Heaven", IMHO her best NW performance. Unfortunately there is no live or music video with a good quality, but you can use this lyrics video, as it has a decent music quality and the visuals are stunning: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKnWm6lsgdmFsJI

Thanks for the suggestion and the link, Arne! I've been mostly concentrating on live performances because I view it as a fairer way to review the different vocalists in the band. But if there is no live footage, then I'll happily try out the lyric video!

Andy, thanks again for bringing a song "alive" for me. I noticed that this version is much harder than the studio one - or, perhaps how it was envisioned with Anette; not sure which. It is interesting that Tuomas returns with Anette to the middle-eastern color from the very early days of the band (Tutankhamen, The pharoah sails to Orion - which I personally regard as the best song from the first two albums). Since you are fishing for Anette songs, my vote is on Whoever brings the night. Anyway, thanks again, and I hope that you reach 1k subscribers soon - in fact, 1.1k stands under your name right now.

Thank you! Yes, things accelerated a little faster than I anticipated before the video went online ;-) I love Pharoah! I plan to cover more from "From Wishes to Eternity" so that will definitely be involved at some point! Do you know of any good live footage of Whoever Brings the Night?

Congrats on the 1k subs! Hmm, what can't Troy play? I don't think we can answer that. Maybe what doesn't he play, as there must be hundreds of instruments from around the world that he hasn't tried. I don't believe he's ever been seen or heard on any brass instruments. Yet.

That's the thing with Troy - the fact that he doesn't play something doesn't mean he can't ;-) I imagine him with childish joy as he discovers for himself which button does what!

I LIKE that! It's just biographical as to which song either of us has heard most and which associations form. So sounds good to me!

When did you see Floor overthinking while performing!!!!!....... No way, not another chase carneson!!!
@andyjonesofficial3 жыл бұрын
I didn't. In fact, I said she wasn't. I said it was lovely to see her having so much fun. Because some of NW's songs are very demanding vocally, and while Floor is more than capable of doing them all, some require greater focus than others. Chase is a terrific, incredibly insightful gent, and, like me, a Floor fan.
