My impatient attitude towards squeezing in alternative training such as this was changed once I was able to personally observe the amount of damage a former teammate sustained from a single bullet through his primary shooting hand. The whole thing looked more like shredded clothing and ribbons or black and red strings than a human hand. Since then I practiced it a lot. Enough to teach myself the only limiting factor to how many ways you can reload and charge your pistol is your own mind. *#StaySafe*

Beautiful way, how to shoot your own knee/leg... Like 00:18. I like the Version, where you put the gun between your knees so the muzzle is to the earth angled OFF your body and also you can rack the slide after the reload.

If you have such lousy trigger discipline that you shoot your own knee/leg, trust me, you're not bothering to even drill this in the first place. Lots of things can be done safely by trained individuals. This isn't for your weekend warrior types.

@@redemptusrenatus5336 my trigger discipline is good, don't worry. Your trigger discipline can be perfect, but will it be under stress? The risk of shooting myself in the leg is for mé too much. That's the reason why i reload between the knees or (shoot Hand) in the holster.

I have one arm shoot a 9mm and reload. I dont go through any of these acrobatics. Step 1. Drop mag. Step 2. Holster pistol. Step 3. Insert mag. Step 4. Draw pistol. Step 5 release slide. Step 6. Fire. If slide needs cycling for initial round. Step 1. Grasp slide and place your thumb on the back strap. Step 2 press backstrap forward with your thumb until round chambers. Step 3 release pressure allowing round to chamber. I gotta make a video.

Nice. I was taught a different method for mag stripping since pressing the button and stripping it with the same hand is difficult, especially under pressure. You press the mag release and bash the gun on your thigh until it falls out. Very difficult with Glocks since it's plastic on plastic friction, much easier on guns with polished metal mags so I wouldn't recommend it if your go-to gun is a Glock. The gen 5s are a huge improvement since the mag has a lip you can catch on a belt. Not sure why it took them so long to realize they removed such a key feature that most other guns have. Anyway all my one handed drills are loads easier with my FNS, I'll never go back to a non-ambidextrous handgun.
