ive been a single mum for 20 plus years and tryed to reach out to my brother to be a part of my sons lives with no joy, ive reached out to the church who have not wanted to get involved so ive soldiered on and raised my sons the best i could, telling them that they are champions and with Gods help can do anything. I still struggle to relate at times as a mum. I went to church today and they preached about how important it is to be affirmed by your parents growing up and how fatherless children dont grow up with a identity and wont understand their purpose in God due to a lack of affirmation from a Father, both my sons dont go to church but they watch me live a godly lifestyle. I came back from church feeling broken in my spirit because i knew both my grown sons never had the affirmation and now they are in thier 20,s its so hard being a godly single mum at times?

In my country, we women are classified as nobody.especialy when our husband dies they can easily turn around and chase us out of our land.It is a long story ofcourse but to cut it short I just left them with my small brother who is attending college this year and I came to the main city which we only trevel by plane to find a living for the sake of my children.now its allmost a month and two weeks and I feel my heart is tearing into peices💔 but I allways Pray to find peace and strenght. Or how about secure the ring before u open your legs. Much more easier for a man to run out on you if you're not married to him. When that coochie itching and you want to have sex out of wedlock, what do you expect? Where in the world do children come before marriage? I'll tell you, in the black community. Women's are the gatekeeper of sex so if you're opening your legs to someone who hasn't fully committed then who was really to blame?

Even some Daddyless daughters are complaining how their mom didn't raise them well. Many single mothers care nothing about the values they instill in the children, which is why the cycle continues. In this day and age I believe that what a lot of women struggle with is choosing the right person for our sons to immolate. It is not that we don’t realize that we don’t have the tools but we live in a society where 90% of abuse in this country comes from the hands of someone that not related to the child. So that means it could be the paster, the football coach the deacon the new boyfriend/husband. We fear that bringing someone in that could hurt them could be more detrimental the not having someone to emulate .

Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The Lord may have someone for you but it may not be the right time yet. The Fatherlessness project has pages and pages of statistics, describing the EXTREME DISADVANTAGES of growing up in single parent families. Even the book Hillbilly Elegy discusses this. The best single predictor of going to jail is... growing up in a single parent household. Those who grow up in single parent households commit suicide at a much higher rate. I wish you well, in your quest.

I am not God. He forgives. He can take a person and change them, whether we still like them or not. Whether they were wrong or not. And that's why I love God. God can use anyone to get his message across be it a good or evil person, man or woman or child. It doesn't matter who the messenger is. The message still rings true. A single mother cannot teach her young son how to be a man just like I cannot teach my young daughter how to be a lady. I not a woman. I don't menstruate, I can't give birth. I don't have high levels of estrogen. This is why parents, even if you are not together, need to work together to raise their children. It takes two plus a village to raise a child.

@TeeChrisam
@TeeChrisam 7 жыл бұрын
T Stokes I think you are misunderstanding what Steve is trying to do here. There are things that you cannot teach a child of the opposite sex. For example, a man cannot teach his daughter how to go through menstruation properly. I don't care who he is, he cannot teach his daughter the proper hygiene and some other things associated with it. This is what Steve is saying. A woman cannot teach a man how to be a man because it is not in her DNA and vice versa. Your boys have fared well. That's absolutely amazing and commendable. But I guarantee you that if you ask them, they have a male figure they emulate and look up to. It doesn't have to be a grown male. it could be one of their friends which is not always good. This is why Steve always advises to have a positive role model for boys with a single mother. And by the way, Jesus was raised by Joseph his foster father. We see a an example when Jesus remained in the temple preaching and teaching after he was left behind by the family. The Bible specifically says that Mary and Joseph were looking for Him. Look it up.

I also have a daughter and there are things that I know, I cant teach her about that belong to her mothers dept and that's ok.

Hillary Clayton how many male gynecologist do you have laying around to do the teaching? And even if you do, have you thought about how awkward it will be for this child when 2 males, daddy and doctor are the ones talking to her about her period? Do you remember how you felt when you first got your period? Did you want a man telling you how to handle yourself in that time of your life? You know the answer is no. Teaching someone something is not always about the knowledge being dispensed. It is also about the comfort and ease you feel with the person doing the teaching. Please be truthful to yourself and call things the way it should be called.

I read an article on line where the successful millionaire was giving credit to KZbin for teaching him things that his father should have taught him. He said KZbin taught me to tie my bow tie, KZbin taught me to change a tire, KZbin gave me manly advice. KZbin was my father. You get my drift? Being successful does NOT mean that you are well rounded. There are somethings that only a father can do and you were not that. I know because I am well rounded, finished college etc. and many compliment me on my achievements and I still feel a void about not having my father around.

when BLACK GIRLS STOP CHOOSING THE WRONG BOYS the situation will get better. but when BLACK WOMEN CHOOSE THE RIGHT BLACK MEN a good family will be created.

twistedblktrekie uh huh and this PROVED MY POINT... you're talking DOLLAR AMOUNTS(in most of your response), i'm talking about finding a caring and loving MAN, instead of BLACK GIRLS FINDING THESE BLACK BOYS THAT ARE TRICK PONYS WITH SWAG. create a foundation of LOVE, FAITH, TRUST AND UNDERSTANDING & the rest will follow

twistedblktrekie ok, on the FINANCIAL aspect u are correct. BUT BEFORE THAT EVEN HAPPENS YOU NEED A FOUNDATION OF LOVE. TRUST. FAITH. UNDERSTANDING. and the rest will FOLLOW. LOVE SHOULD STAND TALLER THAN MONEY AND REAL ESTATE. cause if u lose it all, hopefully you'll have THE 1 WHO'LL STAND BESIDE U IF YOU DO LOSE IT ALL.

twistedblktrekie ummmm, you're jumping all around what it means to be in a $UCCE$$FUL RELATIONSHIP, I'M NOT BUYING into your ideology. how can u feel you wanna PROTECT AND PROVIDE... IF THERE'S NO LOVE??! LOL! we're gonna agree to DISAGREE, sooooo... I've got nothing more to say.

So not only did you make bad decisions by having these boys without a stable man in the home now it's ok to find someone who isn't responsible for the life or wellbeing of the child....so they can dedicate time, resources and knowledge to a child that isn't theirs. Ladies a man that's worth anything is not going to waist his time raising another man's child or children🤷‍♂️.

If that was the case, there wouldn’t be so many men and women marrying single parents, now then, would there? Plus it’s WASTE, not WAIST. A waist is a body part, whereas waste is what you did with the time you spent at school during English class 😒

@ChanelCoco-pk7mp you must fall into the category that we're speaking of. It's OK you'll find someone for your pookie's. Nobody is looking for single mothers so stop that lie.

@@ronaldjohnson3717 believe it or not it shows single mothers have 8x less chance of getting married compared to single childless women, and a 5x less chance of marriage when compared to divorced women.

Or maybe men should step in so that I t’s not any single moms. Some women have husbands but are still raising their sons alone. No little girl says she wants to grow up to be a single mother.
