Alex Fergusson was a manager at Man Utd when there were two teams in the league. Man Utd and Arsenal, the rest just made the numbers up. When Chelsea was bought by Abramovitch and Mourhino came in, what happened to Fergusson then.
@9itten11 ай бұрын
@@amdistant5547 Look at what he did in the Scottish League. What he did there was special. Remember, at United, he worked under The Glazers, which we know have ran the club into the ground. He had one hand tied behind his back under them. If SAF in those days had the backing that Pep has at City now? Wow, United could still be the best club in England. Mourinho for me is either first or second for me when it comes to the best managers in the world, and even he said that getting second in the league with Manchester United was the biggest achievement of his career. I've had the pleasure of meeting him briefly at the PFA dinner in 1996. A really nice bloke, and far more softly spoken than he comes across on TV. Something that really stood out was when he walked into the room; you had a large bar area outside the main restaurant, with lots of very famous Prem players and managers, and when Fergie walked in, it was as if a signal had been given; fucking EVERYONE turned to look. This response shows that Alex Ferguson was not a particularly nice person. People in general can't accept a negative about a person they greatly admire. Such people are like children. If they like a person a lot, then everything is good about then and they go on the attack if someone points out a negative. Fergie was a good manager but not a nice person. He treated people badly many times.

I support my home town, a small club in comparasion to United and am impartial to most football clubs. I do have respect for the way Ferguson dealt with reporters however I don't actually think he was a great manager. He was one of the biggest hypocrites in football shouting abuse at linesman and referees when things wouldn't go United's way not to forget Fergie time which must of helped Man Utd gain points in ruthless, cheating fashion. I'm sure outside of football he's one of the nicest people you would meet and I did think his points during Euro 96 as a pundit on ITV were the best. Roy Keane isn't the most warming of characters but his points about Fergie would of been accurate about poor man management and being interested in his own interests over Man United.
