I Love that He thanked his Mother & manager Ricardo. Is Good to thank those people that have been there for us through the Years for Our Best interests.

I wanted to find a documentary about Mix. This was so much better. I had no idea that Anthony was a geek, introvert, liberal and a seriously good guy. I'd love to meet him some day. I'm a big fan of his music and how he represents the Pacific North West. It makes me smile knowing he's a real guy who loves his mom and likes good Thai!! Great video Chase, thanks.

I remember Sir Mix A Lot in the 80's. I used to listen to his music. I was in school when I listened to. Cool music back then

It's a shame I'm just seeing this five years later. I owe my interest in rap or at least my return to it back in 1990 to Sir Mix-a-Lot. When I first heard beepers it made me believe that rap was still alive. And watching this makes me realize that the people he was speaking about in his songs are real. Seattle ain't B-essin. I make rap deals, not drug deals, handing out contracts like meals. The rhyme cartel, I own the M-F'in label, and Ricardo's got the papers on the table. He still with the dude and that is tight. I love that. I always wanted to meet Mix but live to far away. Because I followed him so close and know his music so well I actually know what he was going thru at each stage that he talks about without ever meeting him. But by far my favorite album is Seminar. Solid 10 from beginning to end. With The Mack not to far behind. Not because baby got it, but because lockjaw makes the party jump and the house get lit.

I remember when Mix put out “I’ll roll you up”. I thoroughly enjoyed his lyrical flippin skills. As an east coast DJ and Artist, I liked what he was doing even though the East Coast was hating on him (yet singing his music). lol

Good to see you AR and CJ - a huge fan who delights in the songs from SMA from a long time ago. Thank you for such rare treat to dialogue with AR. I love Thai food also so bon appétit! From the UK. Peace.SS.

Race is very important in America. PERIOD!!!!!!! I have a very hard time selling stuff just because I'm black. I invent some crazy stuff right. 1 time a was meeting a person on a business deal and i shit you not, This European female said to me and i quote. "I thought you were white" but when we spoke over the phone, there wasn't a problem at all. Note this has happened to me allllllllllll my lifeeeeeeeeeee.

23 minute mark! Too many options, "It took twice as long to get a sound..." Options are great but there is something to be said for working under what many would consider a disadvantage. I first heard the phrase "disadvantage exercise" by guitar guru Mick Goodrick. Rubber banding strings to force you to play differently etc... Money and assets are great. But the lack of forces creativity and can often be the thing that helps you find your voice.

Absolutely! It is like Tim Ferriss talking about needing constraints in his writing and podcasts.
