The average bagel is equivalent to 5-6 slices of average sandwich bread, so unhinged as thirds sounds at least it gets a serving back down to normal

I would say thinly sliced red onion would be my add on. The rest sound great as it. Maybe hot brown mustard? I have to wonder if hummus and marmite are a popular combo in general in the UK. The first time I had marmite was at a home in North London on bread with SLICES of butter, thin layer of Marmite, and a glop of hummus.

I admire anyone with the patience to make hummus from dried chickpeas. In my most vegetarian/vegan of stages, I still bought cans or a mix to prepare. This did look good! I ❤️ bagels & havarti cheese is sooooo good. 🥯 There's a cafe that does a warm hummus sandwich nearby w/ sundried tomatoes, spinach, red onions, walnuts, & parm regg in a spinach wrap on a panini. Mmmm...

Yeah I’m kind of a chickpea from a can believer now as well. I am embarrassed to admit how long I did the soak-overnight-and-then-cook-for-an-hour+ time waster for chickpeas that taste the same as the ones in a can. The only time I use dried chickpeas when I’m making a recipe that uses black chickpeas. I’ve never found them in a can.

Finally! Something I can use my Marmite on! I bought it on a whim, but I've been too scared to crack it open! This sandwich looks like a great blend of ingredients to complement it, while not allowing it to overwhelm. Plus, I am a lifelong McCartney fan. Not a vegetarian, though.

I made this and it was good. I used Vegemite because Maramite was not available. I think the reason you take the slice out of the bagel is it slides around too much, if it is too thick? I made a double decker version and it was rubber glove time. The honey mustard really puts it over. I might add shredded carrots and cucumber slices, if I make it again.

Seriously though, when are you going to do a Salt and Vinegar crisp sandwich? Think of it as a collab between your channels. All you need is butter, salt and vinegar crisps and a bit of Ketchup. Sound disgusting, but it is pure heaven.
