Your locks are beautiful. I'm a year in. I still braid and band mibe😫😫 May I ask...what the ACV does? Maybe I should start using it. I still notice my hair is flaky after washing it. I'm guess my dry scalp. And... It is ok to use other shampoo other than the sister lock shampoo? My loctician is adamant about me using the sister lock shampoo. Please help🙏🏾🙏🏾

Shante Bohrer it removes build up and restores your scalps ph balance

I'd recommend Almocado Stage 1 Shampoo. Shes a consultant based out of London makes her own products for Sisterlocks. I used that in addition to the Starter Shampoo for like the 1st 2.5 yrs I had locs. It cuts down on the product flakes the starter shampoo can leave after u wash n blow dry your locs.

I like it too. My dermatologist prescribed it for me when I had a fungal infection on my scalp. It helped tremendously!! I still use it.
