Seems to me the only thing between “sisterlocs” and “microlocs” communities is the “YOU CANT SIT WITH US” attitude. There’s even a story on KZbin where a lady went to a licensed sister loctician to get them installed then went to another sister loctitian to get them retightened and was told she didn’t have sisterlocs in the first place 😱. It’s putting a horrible stigma on locs period.

My consultant told me i must retie every 4 wks but i started noticing my already heriditary thinness in my crown was suffering. I decided to go every 5-6 wks. She and i didnt mesh well after that. Also i dont want to and nvr planned to pay more than 150 for reties and im tired of the 4-6 hrs i sat with her. I needed to maintain ownership of my own head of hair! I have the loc tool and done some maintaining but im over that too😂. I decided to get mine combined.

Hi Anny! I chose SL because I also didn't want to have to do my own hair. But I did take the class just in case I encounter a time where I'm not able to get to a consultant which makes me feel a little at ease. Thanks for this video ❤❤❤

Hello and thank you for this video, I have Sisterlocks and the cost is a major factor, but I was sure to budget for them. It’s an investment for sure and it’s one of my best investment!!!!

It's good to empower yourself nothing wrong with that. With that being said, time is money, in which it can take days or weeks to self retie instead of a few hours. If you have that time, cool..I don't. Also, this may cause upper body issues that might cause you to have some physical pain, this needs to be considered if it's worth the cost. Their are consultants that have these issues as well and this is not talked about a lot on some of the utube videos I watch. To maintian locs is a basic rotation, just know your rotation, sisterlocs are tedious due to its size and prone to merging them if not done correctly and are no different.

This is exactly what I'm considering right now myself. If I want micro braidlocs or just to keep my hair in mini braids. Also, why were you censoring the word "pandemic"? I'm just curious

Thanks for the encouragement :) I LOVE your hair, BTW. I'm leaning towards just keeping it in braids for now, which I do myself, because I know I don't want to be dependent on a stylist. Ah, ok, that is weird if true. I hadn't heard anything about that. Anyway, thanks for the reply, and I hope you're having a great day.
