Thank you for this video. I have had so many people tell me that my test lock are to small. But I know that my hair texture is thin. It will fake a person out by looking like it’s thick. But really it’s not. Thank you again

Thanks for the video. My hair density is similar to yours and you chronological pictures put me at ease with initial look of my hair.

I'm glad my pictures help you. When I started, I didn't see many people with my density so I was very scared at first. But I'm glad I took the leap of faith and got Sisterlocks. Best decision ever! Enjoy your journey and be patient. You'll be amazed at your progress in the long run.

WOW! Just beautiful! such an inspiration to me, even the music gave me hope. I do have 2 strand twists that were started for locing, 3/28/16 day after easter. I also have medium fine hair and considered SL. because of the fine hair my parts are very small but didn't look too scalpy. perm rods were the way to go for me just hoping it won't be an unravel session, if so I will consider using the tool for interlocking. I know by now your hair must be gorgeous. thanks for your post.

New subbie! I'm so glad I found your channel. My SL's are one month old and I also have some thinning in my crown. I know everyone's journey is different but it's so encouraging to see the beginning of your journey and then watch the last video you posted which was three years into your journey! Gives me hope! Thanks for sharing and I hope you post an update soon. Would love to see your current progress!

This is a bit of a story time haha, none of you have to read this but I just thought I'd let it out there: I learned about sister locks about a year ago, I loved them and decided that I wanted to have them done to my hair. I grew my hair a bit more so instead of shoulder length (when flat-ironed), it was now collar-bone length. I was excited for it and asked my mom about it and realized that it was quite expensive (mind you that I'm 13 years old.) So, we decided on getting them during the summer but then my mother backed down because she didn't "want" me to get them. Money wasn't the issue -- she just didn't want me to have them. She then told me that I had to wait until I was 18 if I wanted to do it but then again I've decided to stay home for college, so what is she going to do? Force me not to get them? I want to start the journey now -- before I start my first year of high-school, she's making this really difficult for me when I know what I want to do with MY HAIR. I understand that she's my mother so there's nothing I can really do but it does bother me that she's not allowing me to do what I want with what I have to take care of for the rest of my life.

@kimbleyearby95476 жыл бұрын
Patty Cake thanks. My thinning is still progressing. It's genetic so thheres nothing I can do about it. I style and wear it in a way to cover the thin spots. When it becomes too bad I will get a cranial cap prosthesis. Such is life. Check out the other updates to see the progress.

Can a sister block have extension?
@kimbleyearby9547 Жыл бұрын
No. Sisterlocks does not involve extensions.
@musiccitywoman10 жыл бұрын
I wondering If an individual has thin hair then sisterlocks will not be good for that individual - thereby only adding more thinness and more spaces in the scalp which then will set and grow that way
@kimbleyearby954710 жыл бұрын
Sisterlocks has in no way made my thinning worse. Due to low density, they looked sparse in the beginning until they started to swell and mature. They don't add to the thinning because there's no product or extensions adding weight to my roots...no different than plating my hair. Best decision ever!!!
@musiccitywoman10 жыл бұрын

@kimbleyearby954710 жыл бұрын
The hairtie that used for my "phony pony" was homemmade. I made it myself with elastic cord and some beads. I got the idea from other youtube videos on how to make a hair tie.
