@@roli3342 Yes, I thought it looks remarkable like the fingerwoven sashes of native american culture. I can't see the difference actually, aside from the number of threads used. It's so fascinating about weaving, that alike practices originated in cultures that are far removed from each other.

I was at my lys yesterday, browsing the Felted Tweed and out of the blue the shopkeeper asked me "are you doing The Dicky from Arne & Carlos?" She already had one customer an hour earlier buying what she needed to do your dicky pattern! We had a great chat talking about this channel and how neither of us are enthusiastic colour-work knitters - but that we've both been giving it a try since subscribing. I have just finished my 7th block - and had fun trying out your layered colourwork technique on the Cat. Meanwhile, I recently bought the pattern for Trym, which will be my first ever large project with any colourwork element, but I'm sure I can do it! Thanks, as always for all the inspiration 😊

Hi, you make very beatiful finger weavings! I've almost forgotten we had "ceinture fléchée" in our Quebec folk culture. Our "Bonhomme Carnaval" is always wearing it. Thanks for the cat chart!! In far north central WI we had 5 inches of snow last night and more tomorrow. I usually knit while watching your Wednesday podcasts. Love the dickeys, a book of designs would be wonderful for those of us who don’t design! I mentioned my daughter had positive Covid test, quarantined in my weaving studio, symptoms began the next day. Thankful she had a relatively light case and after quarantining the number of days plus specified by the county health department, is back at work. Praying your recovery continues to full recovery. Loving these podcasts!

I’m very charmed by hearing you talk about your folk costumes! Being that the US is so young we don’t really have a folk costume tradition here, except for perhaps Civil War re-enactments, which I do not find charming. We do have Colonial Williamsburg, where they dress in period costume, but it’s just not a thing the average American does. Happy weaving. I’m excited to see how the hand sewn buttonholes work.
