Welcome for a new sitting posture assessment.
Dima is doing great in many respects... but he pulls the feet backwards, under the chair. And this will increase lumbar lordosis!
Let's try and understand why he does this, and how to fix it.

yeah, foot support, this is what I use yoga blocks for. Two of them taped together work like a charm. And can accomodate 3 different heights in seconds for different postures.

Hi, Oliver! Can pressure in the belt while seating on a chair with stiff lumbar support be to high? Recently, I tested Kinnarps Plus 8 and got such impression after seating about 30-45 minutes (tried to seat "ergonomically" - lower back against the backrest). I felt too much stress in belt surrounding tissues which where in contact with the chair's lumbar support. It got a little uncomfortable/painful. I have similar feeling when driving a car (lumbar support not adjustable), so I put a thin cushion above the lumbar support to limit the protrusion and, consequently, eliminate discomfort in my belt. Do you have any thoughts on this?

Hi Oliver, can you make a video to show how to play with a handheld console? I have cervical spondylosis and it seems that it don't exist a video showing how to hold it correctly

hi Olivier, what do you think about negative tilting the keyboard? I read many good books (especially Dr Pascarelli's book on RSI) and tbh it feels very natural also. I just measured my desk at its like 67cm height, in order to keep all my feet angles at 90 degrees and keyboard a bit lower. many people told me it's too low, but it feels great. also a doctor told me that a keyboard tray is the best idea to keep the hands and fingers relaxed thank you

this is a fantastic video, I realized that I did this with my feet and I could not understand why about the fixed desks: most of them are too high, usually at 75 cm. the solution is indeed to put a box or support under your feet but the majority of leg supports are too narrow, no one will sit with their feet like that. I always said that desk builders have never sat at a desk.99% of their ergonomics is terrible.

I bought a 45cm wide footstool so that I could get my chair arms level with the dining table I work at due to space constraints. I find this is plenty wide enough to sit comfortably (and probably good at stopping me sitting with my legs too wide apart, but not forcing me to sit with them uncomfortably close together at all times).

To give you a rough estimate of "standard" desk height: for 90% of the Western population, desk height should be between 68 and 76 cm (on a normal chair, not on something like a HAG Capisco). So definitely, 75cm is for tall people! However, there's rational behind this: - I can raise someone by using a footrest, so a high desk can be adapted to a small user - I cannot lower the chair of a tall user (otherwise it will hurt his hip joint and cause slouching). Hence, the choice is to set the height to the needs of tall users. But definitely, every company should buy height adjustable desks, pref. electric ones!

@@OlivierGirard good point, I am 175cm tall and I feel that 69cm is the perfect desk height for me.

Been doing the prayer exercise consistently and threw out all the other exercise given by the physiotherapist, which was to lie on the ground, on my back, and tuck my chin and lift my head off the ground. I have been feeling so many improvements in my posture, it is now my exercise for life. I can hold it for almost 5 mins now, but a week ago barely for 40 seconds. In bodybuilding circles it's becoming popular to train the neck, like doing side crunches, front crunches, back crunches (for the neck) but what I notice from my observation is that people with good posture, like yourself, have very nicely developed neck, and people with forward head posture have very ugly skinny necks. Why is that?? From learning from your videos the better the posture the more relaxed the neck is, yet you have a very nicely muscular neck. It's kind of an irrelevant health question but it sparked my interest a bit. 😃

Hello Sir, do u have a video of how to sit correctly? Also, I've watched many of ur videos and u seem to suggest not leaning on the chair and sitting 90 degree is the better, while there are also other people saying that we should not sit at 90 degree, what are ur thoughts?

Hello, just for curiosity. Which chair is that ? Do you know any chair not too expensive but that you consider nice for desk workers? Thanks for your video

Mine, you mean? It's this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2PaqJ9sj9Sbgsk The best quality-price ratio that I know is the Kinnarps 5000 with a foam backrest and armrests type 4. It doesn't look especially nice but it will do the job for more or less everyone 😀

Hi @@OlivierGirard , do you know how tall can be a person using Kinnarps Plus? I found this chair's backrest height adjustment a bit limited
