Happy Diwali & Welcome back sir! I have a question sir. I hold UTI Nifty 50 Index + ICICI Nifty Next 50 Index + Parag Parikh Flexi cap in a 40:30:30 ratio for my long term savings (>20 yrs). I am thinking of adding 10% Nifty Midcap 150 Index to it by reducing the Nifty 50 Index by 10% . Will it be beneficial? This is part of my 60% equity allocation. 40% is in debt like PPF & EPF

Is there any CAGR calculator (online) which show the return from SIP done on monthly basis ? How to arrive at CAGR if the SIP is increased on yearly basis and lastly, How can I find out if the mutual fund houses are showing accurate SIP returns in their charts. Please share your thoughts.

Good morning sir, Happy Diwali 🪔 I’m currently investing in the Tata Digital India Fund and the ICICI Prudential Technology Fund, contributing 3k to each. I’d appreciate your guidance on whether it would be better to continue with both funds or focus on just one. Your valuable advice and thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Pattu, I am a 26 years old salaried individual. I have a Nifty 50(40%), a Midcap(35%), a Smallcap (25%) fund in my portfolio. Can you please review this and can i deversify in small caps like adding another one with less overlapping? Thoughts on that please

Hi @pattu sir, debt mutual fund is not alternative for FD. How about investing on gilt debt funds as emergency fund? I like to pick lower risk funds for emergency funds which you suggest gilt funds or short term funds?
@narayanansl617919 күн бұрын
Gilt funds are higher in RR curve (Risk-Return, higher NAV volatility) amongs debt fund categories. For emergency purposes FDs are the best that can be liquidated instantly at short notice via online banking. Still if you need to use debt mfs one can use Liquid debt funds. Still T+1 or T+2 time taken generally to get into bank ac in emeregency. (Anything higher like Ultra short term, MoneyMkt, Floater, Short term have more risk and NAV will be volatile. )

I'm really confused after seeing so many videos.. 1. I'm saving 30k per month so i started looking for a new bike it costs around 2.75lakhs to 3 lakhs.. so i dropped and planned to buy car 2. After seeing so much of videos which car to buy, used one or new, checked all apps then understood it's depreciating asset and planned to not buy car or bike after 3 months of plan.. 3. Now i don't want to keep 30k per month in bank, so i study about sip, ppf, nsc, gold, land, apartments,... 4. Every video is telling sip is not good go for swp then someone says invest in stock, invest in corp bond, invest in mf, invest insurance Finally seeing all these videos in feeling like KZbin videos and its algorithm is making people like us to invest in one place so the sharks and whales will profit... So much of over thinking made me to not start any where... I'm bit in starting trouble and not investing in anything..

Don't believe people who says swp is better than sip. They never talk about the risks associated with swp.

How does debt mutual funds differ from NPS pension products that use debt instruments in terms of the debt instruments used safety/risk and returns potential ? i ask bcos if someone doesnt have/want NPS or govt pension and wants to stick to debt mutual funds (gilt and little bit corp bond fund for long term from big AMCs) is it OK or these NPS debt managers take some additional scrutiny to avoid ILFS or credit events ? thx in adv
@narayanansl617919 күн бұрын
Well, upon reading some articles i myself found answers. With recent changes to NPS esp NPS Tier 2 scheme G, scheme C are much better than respective Debt mutual funds for long term debt needs though avg maturity profile may be a bit higher in some pfm vs debt funds of few AMCs but the low expenses, higher return potential in NPS Tier 2 eventually beats here and taxation same in both. Also Tier 2 is fully withdrawable just like debt mfs almost. Overall NPS Tier 2 debt much better but needs NPS Tier 1 ac active. One interesting fact is some credit events in past like ILFS did affect few debt mutual funds but not NPS debt schemes. Also for short term needs still one can use liquid/Money mkt of debt funds.
