@@Forty5Kimber Right!! since your replay I've seen the BH5, I didn't know about it yet. It's very new. So yes, you were right, it'd be the right plane to compare. Both compete for the same rol and mission.

The SR2500 gross weight is 3000 pounds. The moose is 3500 pounds. Mainly to accommodate the installation of the M14P radial. The VNE was also raised for higher horse power. The main gear was beefed up and is 33% stronger.

See. This is why I fux with MojoGrip Mike. He brings attention to planes I've never heard of and now consider as options. Never heard of a Murphy Moose and now I can find an experimental plane that's probably bigger than a 182 at 1/3 the cost. One I can put a LS3 or 3.0 audi/VW diesel in without having to worry about rendering my aircraft uncertifiable.
@bladenrexroth2555
@bladenrexroth2555 4 жыл бұрын
If the Murphy burns roughly 15GPH at 250hp. I bet the fuel burn is 8-9 gph with the LS3 at 425hp and probably 6-8 GPH with a Audi 3.0 biturbo diesel rated at 295hp-325hp

I want Mike to do a video about prop blades. For example, this Murphy Moose only has two blades! But even smaller planes have three, or sometimes four blades! I know it has something to do with weight vs. inertia, blah, blah, blah. But it all, like a plane is, "over my head." I need a basic lesson on this! Sorry to be so stupid!
