This one is a Chins. Maybe the shelf drain is worse than I thought. I used to do FW/HW work for a US company that sells consumer Bluetooth headphones, buds, speakers, etc and we would sleep them after 30 days. You would then need to plug USB in to wake them. I bought 2 more batteries and will take one of them and shelf it for a couple of months and see what happens.

I have three 12v 100ah lifpo4 batteries in parallel in my 2000w off grid solar electric system. This system has been running flawlessly for five years . I have two epever solar controllers, one for each solar panel bank. I also have two dedicated lifepo4 battery chargers in case I need to charge the batteries up because of low solar conditions. Again five years without a hiccup. Very rarely could I not easily run overnight the various appliances and lighting that I have plugged into the off grid system. Now, this system won't run overnight without the inverter shutting down for low voltage. I checked the whole system out and the only problem I found is one of the three identical batteries isn't working and when separated from the system shows no voltage. The other two batteries in parallel are fine. The bad battery has been getting the same voltage constantly from the system and the other two batteries in parallel with it. I've isolated the bad battery and tried every trick in the book to wake it up to no avail. Any suggestions?
@OffGridBasement Жыл бұрын
Sounds like a bad BMS or possibly a bad cell. Either way I believe it's bad. If you felt comfortable about tearing it open you could find out more by measuring each cell. If it only measures at something like 8-9v then you probably have a bad cell.

I bought an electric start generator where the instructions indicate to disconnect the battery for ‘long storage’. I didn’t disconnect it and when I went to start the generator after about 3 months, the battery voltage was somewhat less than 4v, the electric start wouldn’t work and my (cheap) battery charger/maintainer, which supposedly ‘recognizes’ whether the battery is lithium or lead acid, would not charge it. When you are jumping the battery in the video and it now indicates 10 volts, are you just waking up the BMS, or would the electric start in the generator now actually work? And if just waking up the BMS, how long do you have to hook up your charger before the voltage drops again?

How can i wake up my dead battery 36v li-ion battery 1850 e-step ? Thx
@OffGridBasement6 ай бұрын
Did it not come with its own charger? If not, then you would need another 36v source. 3 car batteries wired in series... a variable power supply would work. Even wiring four 9v energizer batteries in series would do the trick. Hope this helps. Good luck...

NOTe: The Haisito does not wake up a lifepo4 battery, at least not the latest version.

How would you wake up a 48V LiFeP04?
@OffGridBasement Жыл бұрын
I've had to wake up my 48v pack by connecting four 12v batteries in series. Then just touching the terminals will do the trick. I think you need at least 50 volts.

be interesting to try on other BMS voltages @@OffGridBasement

Will 12v wake up a 24v system?
@OffGridBasement2 жыл бұрын
No. You would need another 24v source to wake up a 24v battery BMS
@JeffhuebnerАй бұрын
Didn’t work😢 Does that mean the BMS is bad? Ampere time 100 ah Reads 3 volts.
@OffGridBasementАй бұрын
Might be. Should activate with 13v.

i tried all of you metheod, my 12v Lifepo4 Battery stll dead. it will not charge

That's not good. Maybe one of the sensors tripped and is now stuck.

Same for me none of those methods work only one I found to work is to open up the battery disconnect the bms negative then hook up a charger till 12v or untill the bms resets

I need to do this for 2 sleeping battle born lithium batteries. They won't charge at all. Can I pull my jeep close to my trailer and hook my jumper cables to the dead lithium battery and then touch my jeep's battery? If so jeep off? Also the two 2 battle born batteries are linked together. Do I do each one or will they both wake up, when I do one? I know a multimeter will tell me probably right?
@OffGridBasement Жыл бұрын
I would disconnect the batteries completely, then you could use your jeep battery to wake them back up separately. Remember to touch them for just a second. That's all it should take. After that, connect them to a 12v charger.

This keeps happening with my battery. I can get 10-12 starts on it, then it acts like it's completely dead. Jumpstart it (with another 12v source) and its fine for another 10-12 starts. Scratching my head here...

Doesn't work on noco lithium batteries...
@OffGridBasement Жыл бұрын
That makes sense. I've read that NOCO batteries are auto enabled so no BMS reset is required. Thanks for the info and the comment.

Jump your battery with one of the same voltage, then start your battery charger.

Video way too long for the simple material presented. Waste of time. Edit it down to a couple of minutes and you’ll be alright. This is the first and last video of yours I’m watching. Hope the feedback helps you.

Is there any hope to get a 2 year old stored lifepo4 or is it dead for good?

I wish I could tell you. Even if it does turn back on, the capacity will probably be garbage. Thanks for the comment.

How do you wake up 48 pack on a golf cart
@OffGridBasement3 ай бұрын
Your golf cart charger should wake up the battery. If not, then you need a 50v source.

I have 24 volt Li+ offgrid-hoTusehold batteries. They were depleted during unexpected medical absence. How can i wake them ?
@OffGridBasement2 ай бұрын
You need to get a 24 - 26V source to "wake" them up by touching the connections for a couple seconds.. Disconnecting them from the inverter and letting them sit for an hour might do the trick as well.
