I'm a teacher. And I'm also vegetarian. And let me say, this is NOT the way to convince anyone, not an "educational, pedagogical, didactic and family friendly way" a teacher would approach, nor the "respectful, kind, optimistic, reasonable and open minded way" a KIND vegan/vegetarian would use to convince people. This lady just *yells* at nonsense and points out tiny details that in reality are quite insignificant (such as the students getting into the kitchen to wash the dishes, geez lady no real teacher would entertain such a thought) while ignoring the valid points she could have made (that is, if she spoke in a respectful, sensible way). I'm a vegetarian teacher but I don't yell at my students because they brought X for lunch. If I'm asked why I don't eat meat, I will gladly explain my many reasons in a respectful way, stating that it is MY choice not to eat meat, as it is their choice (or their parents') to eat meat. Then again, it has happened to me that one of my students might forget their lunch/snack and come at school empty handed. In that case, it is my responsibility as a teacher to not let my pupils go hungry, so I always have apples with me, or nuts or some other fruit, so that I might offer them to the hungry student (of course I will always check my allergy chart). Small changes do count. Also, in Europe we do have reusable plates, in fact I do agree that it's an enormous waste to use throw away plates and cutlery: however, no valid point justifies how ridiculous, annoying and crazy this "teacher" is. She has "be kind" on her shirt and yet is disrespectful to the people that don't think exactly like her. Be kind, yes. But that means being kind to people too, not just animals, even to people who might not think the same way you do. Don't try to force your ideals down their throats, that will never work. Be kind and, if you want to "convince" people that "your way is the best way", be ready to be even kinder, respectful, reasonable. Thanks for the vid, Leo! 💕🌸

I am from Taiwan and no not all of us cook our own lunches some of us do bring our own lunches but the school provides lunch for us that is a full course meal of veggies, rice, meats, soup, fruits. Selected students are in charge of bringing the food to their classroom and then bring the empty trays back for the meal companies to take care of. And then we are in charge of washing our own dishes (we have metal bowls and utensils we bring to school) and we are in charge of all of our classroom cleaning and outside designated area cleaning starting at 7am. This was elementary school for me all the way to 6th grade. But it definitely takes a whole culture shift to do it that's for sure and I think it would also take away some jobs too. She should just explain what the hell she means. SInce you asked- cows are, unfortunately, often s-xually ass-ulted in the dairy industry, so that they'll produce milk. Sure, cutting down on milk is helpful (I reccomend oatmilk personally), but so would actually raising awareness, and maybe even trying to advocate for the dairy industry to treat cows better. I'm not even a totally dairy-free person, because it's not like that's EASY, but I cut back when I can sub it out easily, and I know that helps. And I think that if she would actually explain what the hell she was talking about, as well as encourage cutting back instead of cutting OUT animal products, she would do a lot more good. Of course, she doesn't actually care about doing good. She cares about clout, and I think about having a moral high ground so that she feels superior to others.

Theyre inseminated, as opposed to regular mating & do you know why? Cows gets cuts and abrasions from the hooves of the large bulls ALL the time. Cuts and gouges that then have to be treated. Also, young cows may be frightened by the sexually aggressive bull, but could not give two shits about a fairly small syringe in their massive vag. Also, a not so uncommon occurrence is a bull's penis literally being broken. Yes, most mammals have a bone or bones in their wangs & if a nervous heifer lunges right of left once a massive, heavy bull with sharp hooves mounts them, then *snap. And this does not heal, is agonizing for the bull and renders him useless as a stud bull.

@gabrxael
@gabrxael 2 жыл бұрын
Actually, that’s called artificial insemination! It can be done when a cow is in heat or not, and doesn’t require a large bull. I wouldn’t call it sexual assault because it’s only called sexual assault in the meat industry (impregnating a female racehorse in the hopes of getting a good racehorse foal isn’t called sexual assault, so why should cow insemination be called assault?). It’s done because it’s quick, simple, and the cow doesn’t have a negative reaction, unlike the mounting process with a real bull. But I agree. She only wants the attention, and if she doesn’t accept that she’s wrong, she can continue to feel “above” others with her opinions.

@@2paranoid2think Veganism is a privilege because not everyone can afford or get access to vegan food due to income and geographical location. People who work long hours may not have the energy to prepare a home-cooked meal or might not have access to a kitchen. Meat can be expensive, however, if you have a large family and live on little money then chicken nuggets are your go to. It would be different if you were single or lived with a partner and had no kids then you could afford the pricey vegan stores and products. Just because some of the poorest peasants thrives on plants millions of years ago doesn’t mean the same can apply now. They didn’t have fancy packaging or vegan industries then. Pirates went days and months without fruit or veggies but got scurvy and died, do we go back to doing that? I don’t understand your argument at all. Also, meat is a protein full of amino acids. There is more protein in meat than dairy, eggs, legumes, veggies, and nuts. It has B12, iron, zinc, etc.Veganism lacks proteins which are essential to the human body and why when done wrong can kill. It’s why vegans take vitamin supplements to replace that.
@kian6813

@@2paranoid2think B12 can also be found in the human intestinal tract as it’s a bacteria that is also found in animals and plants. Those who don’t get enough B12 are vegetarians as well as meat eaters so if you barely spend money on food or supplements then oof cause that keeps the blood cells and nerves healthy. Since you don’t have to spend much on food you think it’s easy for all people to be vegan which it’s not and shows how privileged you are. B12 is fed to animals as a supplement since they already have it in them. It would have been nice had you mentioned the bacteria part. The reason Vitamin D was added to dairy is because rickets was a large thing back in the 1900s and to prevent that the vitamin was added. Rickets is a bone disorder that causes weak soft bones, stunted growth and sometimes skeletal deformities. I don’t see how B12 or Vitamin D are bad if they help you. Also, if people are eating meat then so the fuck what. It doesn’t hurt you nor does it effect you. Some people need to eat meat because of disorders and diseases that could kill them. I’m guessing you’re fine with people dying if it means they’re vegan.

@@jadecoolness101 especially not someone who has only gotten on this meatless kick very recently. It feels like she was already an entitled person and jumped on this fad (not to call veganism a fad. I mean you do you and I'll give the respect I get in return) she just mixed her own obsessive entitled ideology's and found a modicome of fame to latch on to. "she wasn't even vegan for most of her life" we can see her projecting her shame of not always having been vegan towards everyone who actively does not care about being vegan. Instead of guilt tripping herself and everyone else she could just... Teach. Like a teacher.

She REALLY pisses me off for giving him X's for everything he doesn't have on the pizza. Hypothetically, if it was normal to "grade" pizzas it would only make sense to give it an X for every topping you didn't like that was put on the pizza rather than giving it an X for lack there of. All the toppings she listed that she likes on her pseudo pizza do not belong on a real one.

I mean you can add the stuff she mentioned, it's just very unrealistic to expect a school to have that kind of pizza, most schools can't afford that unless they some fancy ass private school. My old high school has this awful pizza that was basically a glorified tortilla with a hint of ketchup, some rubber that was once to the left of milk, and chunks of what may or may not have been meat at some point in time.

@@wolvie1618 Thanks for sharing, but I didn't say you can't put those toppings on your pizza. It just doesn't make any sense to rate someone's pizza for not having toppings on it. It's not a test paper where points are deducted for every question you didn't answer. Because the thing about tests is they're planned, which means the correct answers are pre-set. Dhar Mann didn't plan for a deluded old bone hag to "grade" him as if he took her test. (It can't be treated like a test paper unless there are requirements set before the pizza is served. Like if you or I were going to enter a pizza into a competition and the judges had a list of toppings they all said must be added for the pizzas to remain in the competition then that would be the only time her stupid-ass judgement would make sense)

Who went to such a school with these demands? She seemed so surprised about what lunch is like in an American publics school. What school did you go do that had you washing your plates and utensils after lunch like that and had vegan pizza? You were a vegan in my school, grab a salad and some tater tots. add on: didn't she teach in a school?

I live in Germany. In the cafeterias I went to during school and university the people prepering the meals would also wash the reusable dishes, cuttlery and glasses (with an industrial dish washer like in a restaurant). They didn't have any vegan meals, but always one vegetairian meal and one with meat. We only had water to drink in school for kids up to age 16 and only fruit as snacks. In most cafeterias there was also a salad or soup as a side or cheaper dish that was vegan. I know this is common all over Europe, I don't know how cafeterias look like in Canada (where she is from). But Dhar Man is cleary depicting a school in the USA, so if that's what your cafetireas look like she can critesize the real cafeterias, but not Dhar Man for depicting them correctly.
