Very informative. Especially for beginners. Thanks.

Nice video. I've seen other videos on making glue blocks but never with the small hole drilled in center, very clever. Thanks

You have great videos, I wish you were still doing them

I have really enjoyed your videos as you use carbide tools and that is what I use. You also have a gift of being a good teacher. Please turn the volume up a little. If it gets too loud I can always turn it down.

Great tip Steve, especially the drill hole and the wire, simple but very very effective. No more rings on my rings drawn on my glue blocks for centering :). Take care Mike

Great video. What do you do with the corners that you cut off the blank? I don't have a bandsaw, but I do cut the corners off square blanks with a tablesaw so that the raw blank approximates a circle. Rather than throwing the corners in the burn box, I glue back together to make smaller squares that I then turn to make glue blocks. Yeah - I know wood grows on trees, but it is still not free. So in the interest of both economy and environmental frugality, I like to recycle those corners.

Louie, great idea. I actually just have a little bucket full of cut off corners, pen blank cut offs, and other scraps. They come in handy for little things sometimes, but I hadn't thought of using them to make a glue block.
