At the risk of drawing angry RWBY fans, I feel like I'm watching the absurd response to Adam's death again. Why are many people getting so up in arms about a character who's never been portrayed as all that nice? All things considered, the response was actually pretty justifiable - and considering this is *Darth Vader* (the guy who regularly kills high-ranking military officials even just for annoying him), saying his response was justifiable oughta tell you just how bad she came across as, what with collecting blood and used implants from him XP.

(A) they felt Adam still had potential as a character. (B) They felt Blake and Yang killing Adam was out of character for them, as up until now they hadn't definitively killed anyone and they felt the two could have resolved the conflict without resorting too murder.(they seem too forget the fact they are dealing with an attempted suicide bomber, and both of their aura's were depleated) (C) They were pissed that instead of trying to fix what they saw as an interesting character, they resorted too just killing him off.

Most of why I disagree with the rage can be summed up as this; - (A) He wasn't really portrayed with any redeeming qualities - even his men dying in the breach was just brushed off by him. - (B) The only really interesting thing about him IMHO was his character-design - He was never given any characterization besides being spiteful in general. - (C) Blake kinda didn't have a choice; she had no Aura and Adam - having ignored her multiple pleas to leave *and* stalking her across the continent after she let him go - made it pretty clear it was either him or her. - (D) Maybe past-Yang wouldn't have done it, but the current one has serious PTSD issues - and Adam's both the one who caused them and the one trying to kill her friend. Plus, while she didn't cry over him like Blake, she also didn't just brush it off. Honestly, a lot of the hate feels like people just *wanted* Adam to be an interesting character simply because of his concept rather than anything he actually did or was shown to be - and it's why I draw parallels to this thing with Vader's stalker-nurse. On paper, the concept of Vader having someone who likes him even in his warped state is "interesting" (I guess?), but it doesn't automatically mean the character will be a good or even a nuanced one - or should be excused if they turn out to be unsympathetic, shallow or one-dimensional. The idea of "a woman who can love even Vader for who he is" doesn't automatically mean she should be lauded if and/or when her personality can quite literally be codified as "insane stalker", anymore than Adam's concept of "masked warrior-extremist" could justify lauding (IMHO) a psychopathic manchild. ... hope this doesn't sound ranty. Sorry in advance if it does ^_^;

I do agree with you about women assuming consent is given automatically from guys. As a gay guy, no women would ever get consent from me so I have been in extremely uncomfortable situations that would be considered sexual harassment and assault from women that was completely ignored by others because consent from me was assumed. Well, he didn't kill her, but Sidious made her think he killed her. The only FEW people he doesn't hate include his son. Absolutely spot-on. Vader is a broken man. In trying to save everyone he loved he ended up killing them and burning his world. Not too sure where SJW's were expecting this story arc to go but anything but Vader killing her would have been not in character.
