The lines “Reið er sitjandi sæla, ok snúðig ferð ok jórs erfiði.” come from the Icelandic Rune Poem, more specifically they quote the lines about the Raido (ᚱ; r): the rune of rides.
The lines “Hverir eru þeir tveir? Er tíu hafa fætr, augu þrjú ok einn hala. Er Óðinn ríðr Sleipnir.” come from the Saga of Hervör and Heidrek. Odin has only one eye, while his horse Sleipnir has eight legs.
The first list of horses and the lines “Þeim ríða ęsir ióm dag hvern er þeir dǫma fara, at asci Yggdrasils.” are taken from the Poetic Edda.
The final list of horses is taken from various bits of the Prose Edda, although the list itself as shown in the official lyric-video, is actually copy-pasted from the French Wikipedia page about the horses of the Æsir, bearing even the same typos, which I took the liberty to correct (e.g. Lettfeti instead of Léttfeti, Tjaldari instead of Tjalðari, Thegn instead of Þegn…): fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...
I know a transcription in runes of such a text doesn’t really have any reason to be, if not as a treat, but yeah…that’s just what it is, bear with me.
Any suggestion and/or observation is warmly welcome.
The lyrics are pronounced as modern Icelandic, instead of using Old Norse pronunciation: e.g. they sing “æ” as the Icelandic diphthong /ai/ instead of the Old Norse /æ/.

When I heard "Ten feet, 3 eyes, 1 tail" I paused the video and questioned what norse mythological creature has that? when It said "It's Odin riding Sleipnir" It made sense since odin have 1 eye, and Sleipnir has 8 legs (also I completely missed the part where it said "Who are those two?")

My favourite part is at 1:06. I don’t know why I like the lady screaming so much. More songs need a lady suddenly screaming in the background for no apparent reason.

I love this stuff to the core. I love vikings shows myth and music. It definitely has a witcher-esk vibe to it. I love that game and soundtrack and th show. I have a distant calling for this music and just cant stop listening to it. The culture in its own is positively fascinating.

Well tbh this is the first time I listen to this genre and immediately I like it. Reminds me of the vibes of Epona of Eluveitie. Eh, btw, where do you learn the Runes? I remembered when I accidentally stumbled upon an article that said, Disney even hired a real professor to write all the Runes in Frozen. It is interesting to read on how the Runes are deciphered including the name of Agnarr and Iduna. Sorry for the long rant. I am kind of excited when dealing with languages lol.

No matter how many times I listen to this, the description of “Ten feet, three eyes, one tail” will never stop being hilarious. Of course I know that Sleipnir is a horse with 8 legs and Odin has one eye, but if you didn’t know that it would be so confusing. It’s like those are exactly the numbers that would be funniest. Ten legs is too many even for two four legged animals, and if you divide it by two (as if they were describing two of the same thing, like someone might expect) it ends up with two fives which are odd and so wouldn’t make sense. Then three eyes is too many for one creature but too few for two creatures. Also it’s odd. That’s extra funny because 10 was even, so now we have both even and odd stuff happening which is really silly. Then one tail is enough for one creature but too few for two. So every number is confusing on its own, but _differently_ confusing so that all together it’s even more bewildering.

I didn't even know Hross was a real word. I thought it was the name of an alien race from C.S. Lewis' book, "Malacandra."
@FoxMarcello

You never know with C.S. Lewis. He was so good with languages. Him and Tolkien. Apparently they knew each other and at one point Tolkien was like “dude, your symbolism is too obvious. Nobody’s gonna want to read that.” But they’re both so popular to this day I guess it didn’t matter 😆
