A friend of mine asked me to teach her how to rollerblade. She was having a really hard time balancing on them, I decided I would get out a scooter I had, she was able to use that to help her balance, skating with it in between her feet. Once she felt more comfortable she stopped using the scooter. It really helped her with the movement your legs make when using rollerblades.

I bought my skate 2 days ago... it was raining, so I had to wait until today. Just wanted to fool around in the park... man... I just realized how bad our roads are and almost all the roads are downhill. Started rolling faster and faster and paniced my ass off... I fell... I fell quite safe actually, no broken bones, no bruises not even hurt... so I felt more confident and started looking for a place I can practice how to stop. I almost destroyed a wheel (shitty roads, incorrect technique) but it felt so good. Thank you for the inspiration. Your videos already helped me a lot and I already WANT to learn more. Noch einmal: Danke Daniel! :)

Beginner here, no matter how loose or tight I wear my inline skates, after 5 min my feet hurt like crazy. What am I doing wrong?
@skamidanen5 жыл бұрын
There can be a lot of reasons for that.1. The first one, your feet are just to wide for your boot or insole. Maby the insoles don't fit correctly.2. It can also be possible that your feet fit just too deeep in your shoes, if so you would need an extra sole or something thath you will stand higher.3. The frame isn't at the right place under your feet. You should stand straight without tilting towards the inside or outside. On second 20 of the following video you'll see what I mean:kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zoa1f2hjYrmijJo Well, there can be many more resons, but... Do you have any video wehre I can see you skating? This would help to find the problem. 🙂✌

@MetaJamm5 жыл бұрын
Your feet's small muscles are not familiar with new moves, and skate boots. They are constantly tensed and unable to relax in such a situation. If hurt's go away when you take off your skates, but wan't go if loosened skate is on your feet, then this is it. Individual time need to overcome this. I passed a long road of suffering to owercome)) In the past, my legs hurts that way even if i just do boxing exercises or any other unusual and intense fisical activity, in ordinary shoes.

Nice 20 and have recently started learning in the U.K. (England) although it’s very hard to find a place that’s very smooth and not bumpy. If you or anyone else have tried in England where abouts have you tried.? It’s ashame there’s no rollerblading lessons in England. Your videos are very helpful though. Your roads look very smooth like roads in the Netherlands.

Hey thanks for your comment. Sadly, we've never been in England for any skate trip. We were many times in Netherlands and there it's great to skate! Btw. in the UK there is a skate shool, the school from "Skatefresh Asha". I don't know where it is exactly, but over the following link you will find her channel on KZbin: kzbin.info

I just bought after 20+yrs of not skating a pair. Damn did I miscalculated. The easy it was with my young body, the harder it is now. I learning it all over again. But I am afraid it’s going to take a while. Your video is very very helpful. Thanks!

If you have a strip of flat concrete that's next to grass or mulch, that is very helpful! I step onto the grass near me when I need a moment to re-balance myself.

I just ordered my first pair of inline skates ever. I’m 42. I grew up using quad skates (ice skated too.) Got the Powerslide Next Core 80 all black set up because everything less expensive was sold out. Ended up with the dream skate😆🤩 Great video with very straightforward tips I’ll be using. I recognize that Berlin accent. Love it. Thanks!

@skamidanen6 жыл бұрын
Hey Rianne, thank you very much for your comment and feedback! 🙂🙏 I'm sure you will find the right posture by just practicing. The more often your go skating the more you will bend your knees (from the beginning of every single session). 😉👌

I just bought my first pair of Aggressive skates, I've been waiting years to have them because my mom was against it lol. I literally had to wait until I had my own money and was able to move out 🤣 funny enough, she bought me skateboards and bikes because those where "safer" according to her. I love skateboarding and biking, but aggressive inline is my real obsession since I was little. Thanks for these videos man, you rock.
@skamidanen3 жыл бұрын
Hehe, skateboarding and biking is just as dangerous as aggressive inline skating, but it's less dangerous than playing soccer or something like that. Those people have much more injuries than skaters. But rather it depends on the protectors and your skating style. If you don't wear protectors and have a very aggressive style so you will hurt yourself more often than if not. Lastly you will learn how to fall, you will learn how to fall on your protectors and you will get very quick reflexes. So your everydays life will become safer. 😉👌 Aggressive inline is so much fun! It's good to hear you finally had your own money to get into your real addiction. 💪😉👌
3 жыл бұрын
@@skamidanen that's exactly what I told my mother when I was younger, I do tend to have a really aggressive style for most sports so it would be on the very same level, but well, that's in the past and I'm going to fully commit to the real addiction from now on 🔥🔥🔥
