Skater XL: Move your maps folder to a different hard drive!

also if you right click the documents folder and click locations. change the C: to whatever the letter of your other drive is then youve tricked your pc into thinking the documents is in C drive but its not. i used to do it the way in the video till i stumpled upon this way. though keep in mind this will move the whole documents folder. and it will only save things to there after the fact. so you will have to manually move the contents that already existed i believe.

Thank you man! My C:Drive has got like 1GB left and the XL I use isn't even on it. Had to do this for my gear and object dropper files as well.

Delete the Maps folder in the C drive location then move your current Maps folder on the other hard drive to the C drive. Then you should have the Maps in the games intended location

You should be able to just create the folder in the proper location (Documents/SkaterXL/Maps). If you don't have it, the game should create the folder for you though, so maybe try verifying game files first via Steam.

It says it's linked properly for me, made the new linked folder in C (after using command promt, i can see it's linked) drive but when i open SXL i can't see any maps at all. Original ones you get with the game as standard as well. Any ideas why this is?

honestly not sure, but you'd be better off making a new library through steam, it will most likely be more efficient

yep! works for any folder. you can basically follow these exact instructions but use the name Gear instead.
