18:50 Um, Actually Arwen doesn't cast a spell to push the waves back to cross into Rivendell, it summons a huge rush of water that washes the Ringwraiths away. One incorrect correction I saw was that it wasn't her casting it, but the direct translation of what she is casting is "Waters of the Misty Mountains, listen to the great word - flow waters of Loudwater against the Ringwraiths!" because in the movie she is the one that casts the spell. In the book it was Glorfindel who rescues Frodo, Elrond who commanded the flood, and the horses in the water added by Gandalf to make the flood deadlier, BUT THIS IS AN AUDIO CLIP FROM THE MOVIE SO YOU CAN'T USE CORRECTIONS FROM THE BOOK

@Nazbaque

@@kevinbarnard355 You know that is a really weird argument. In more than one way, too. Why wouldn't singing the words make a difference? Especially if the wand has to be waved in specific ways. In addition the song includes words and wand movements that the FG doesn't use in her other magic so even if singing the words as opposed to simply saying them makes no difference, it's still a different spell. If you want to argue that all the magic is just the same spell used in different ways, you should argue that the wand movement, the singing and even the words themselves are just fine tuning and don't make a fundamental difference. Even so that point is rightfully mine. In the bit played the spell is being used on the pumpkin.

I got just as excited as Nick to hear "Flight of Dragons." Never met another person who has seen it, tbh. Underrated cartoon with great voice acting from James Earl Jones and Harry Morgan. Produced by Rankin/Bass and Topcraft, who also collaborated on "The Last Unicorn" the same year. ("Flight of Dragons" also has a badass theme song, similar to "The Last Unicorn's" theme song, but lacking the latter's breakthrough appeal.) Employees of Topcraft at the time included Hayao Miyazaki, Toshio Suzuki, and Isao Takahata, who, upon Topcraft's dissolution, purchased the studio and changed the name to Studio Ghibli. They also laid off a significant portion of the animation staff, many of whom went on to form Pacific Animation Corporation, which worked on Thundercats and Silverhawks, again with Rankin/Bass.

Um Actually, "incantatio" is a feminine singular nominative noun of the third declension so the correct latin would read: "incantatio ridiculA" (as the adjective "ridiculus, -a, -um" would have to match the noun in gender, number, and case)

Um actually, "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" is not played when the fairy godmother creates Cinderella's dress; it's what she sings while magicking up the pumpkin coach. She DOES sort of mutter the words "bibbidi bobbidi" and "boo" while conjuring the dress, but it's over some rising music and anonymous choir vocalizations, which are musically unrelated to (as well as separated from, by dialogue) the clip you played. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4mtp6t7fbipa6c kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIKnk4yHZs6eqtU

It's quite funny where, if those comments had been made to a girl by a guy, he'd have been cruicified. Like could you imagine a woman talking about being into warhammer or videogames and then a dude just butting in with "well sex is better" Honestly hope they never have Emily as a guest again.

um, actually a lot that was said about Kil'jaeden was wrong. First of all he was not originally a member of the burning legion, he was orignally an eredar from the planet argus, who later became demons when sargeras corrupted them. Also Kil'jaeden was not responsible for corrupting the orcs, that was the pit lord Mannoroth. I might be wrong about this, but i dont even think Kil'jaeden is technically a demon, he only commands the demon armies. Also its not called the great dark beyond, its called the twisting nether.
