Omg this is insane, for second i tought it was a real G5!! I loved the skeeride/moded bashed alot also the alpha from pascal but this one looks insane so much scale detaile ! I hope we will be able to print it before snow melt here Big Thumbs up

Just one big big WOW!!!!! You stepped up from the first skeeride snowmobile big time. This looks very sophisticated compared to the first one and seems to do a lot better in deep snow ( although that can be the difference in snow quality too). I can have fun just 1 week per year with skeeride 1 during our wintersports holiday in France or Austria. And I "need" to bring my two pistenbullies too. Now I am afraid I need to make me this second snowmobile too. 😁 Also the reveal video with the lights sliding over it while the camera moves too is epic! well done.

with the testing that's been done how does the drivetrain durability compare to skeeride 1's herringbone gears? i currently get about 30 seconds of runtime on 3s lipo without getting onto the throttle super hard. tried tpu on pla. pla on pla. tpu on tpu. the original gears i put in lasted the longest but now dont get any run time. currently printing petg and will be trying that tomorrow hopefully.

You should see a significant improvement. 10mm wide belt drive with tensioner.

Use PLA+, specifically eSun PLA Pro, you should really be using it for just about everything honestly. my gears have been fine for a full season using that on 4s packs. There is a reason it's what everyone uses for 2a prints. BASF UltraFuse PLA+ is really the best PLA+ i've ever used, but it costs about twice as much as everything else. i use it for knuckles but i'm sure it would be great for gears too. If you have the ability too, the real proper way is to use nylon but you need a heated chamber and a all metal hotend that can hold higher temps for that. PETG will just shatter in the cold.
