Okay! This episode has completely won me over on the show. Up until now, everything has felt "okay, meh, not too bad," but the writing and visuals in this one really took things to the next level. I’m thrilled to see the same writer continuing for episode 6 to wrap up the Lanupa arc. That said, I can't imagine Jod leaving the planet without the kids, and it seems likely he'll need their help to even consider taking them along. The big question is, what kind of serious trouble will he find himself in to make that happen? The guy has a lightsaber and also seemingly force powers! That theoretically should be enough to deal with the pirates in the hotel spa, unless it turns out Jod himself isn't exactly that great of a fighter... hmmm. 🤔

NGL Jod’s betrayal was far more intense then what I was expecting. I figured he would sell out the kids to the pirates or leave them behind as he flees danger on the ship closer to the finale because a lot of D+ shows like to have their plot twists right before the finale. But holding a child at knifepoint at the start of the second half caught me completely off guard. I also liked how SM-33 mentioned the code of challenging the captain in EP2 as initially some world building as to what happened on the ship but it turned out to be a Chekov’s gun.

Exactly, it isn’t something you’d expect to see in a children’s Disney tv show. Have to like how Skeleton Crew is testing the boundaries. Very possible things can get even crazier from here on out!
