Thank you so much for painting these and listing the colors, the first time I saw these in the wild was on the Island of Roatan, Honduras. I had no idea they were endangered, and do know that they are consumed as well as the eggs in the region and they had an Iguana farm. I'm praying that you have a speedy recover and enjoy your sisters wedding!

I love your rendition of the iguanas! I am surprised to hear they are an endangered species. We must realize that we need to be aware of all living creatures and treat them with care and kindness. I have not been around reptiles, but my cousin has a few geckos and a very large bearded dragon and I think they are really cool! I'll be praying for you and hope you have a super time this weekend. I'm sorry to hear, that you have health issues and hope that you'll feel better soon, so your sisters wedding can be as much fun as possible! Love the iguana sketches, these animals seem to have similar problems to many other endangered species. They might be kept as pets or in zoos in large numbers, but sadly there aren't many of them left in the wild. I had painted the Bali Starling recently, who had a similar background. Have a great day and thanks for this video, I enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks so much Lana for the well wishes and I'm so glad you liked the video as well! What's more frustrating for me to realize about the iguanas is thst here in the US, there's no information about their conservation status! Luckily they are protected under CITES Appendix II for international trade purposes. I hope they can make a rebound!

I hope so too, there are far too many animals who made it to the list of endangered species. Thanks for waking awareness for this subject!

Just awesome sketch and paint, I lived in Colombia 🇨🇴 for a while and I was the proud owner of an iguana 🦎 called Roméo which I carried with me all around the place. I was young and now know better, but yet upon my departure I delivered him to a shelter for iguanas and caymans. When I was there I saw how wild life protection people were trying to protect them, females especially because pregnant ones would be cut open for their eggs and sewn backup hopefully to get pregnant again and go through the same cycle , that is if they didn’t die from an infection. The eggs were cooked and sold buy street vendors as a delicacy. Being allergic to hairy pets reptiles were a compromise choice, but again I’ve learn a lot since then and would refuse to own any wild animal as a pet . . .I’ve followed some treatment to help me with my allergies and asthma so I’m now the proud mom of two beautiful dogs!! But my love and respect for the reptilians is very strong. I do hope your situation improves for you, will make sure to have positive verbs thrown your way and check out your Etsy shop . . Thank you for this video.

I'm glad you are back from your vacation! I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. As for these iguanas, Fairchild Tropical Gardens in Miami, Florida are calling them an invasive species. If the iguanas are endangered they can come and get them to repopulate their place.
@InLiquidColor6 жыл бұрын
Luba Patitucci hah yeah unfortunately there are a lot of irresponsible pet owners who think there are no concequences for releasing animals into non-native environments. Flordia is the perfect climate for many reptiles so they can thrive there. Speaking as a former boa constrictor owner, I would have been MORE than happy to have to go through permitting to keep my snakes if it meant people would become more educated about it.

Thise iguanas are stunning😻 so sad to hear they are an endangered especies over at center america, here in my south american country, Ecuador, they are literally like one of the traditional animals of the coast region! In fact, my high school is located by a mangrove swamp and we get to see iguanas like every day!! There are a lot of them and even the school's mascot is an Iguana! Here in my home town there is even a park called the "Iguana Park" it is home for thousands of iguanas, and they are not kept in captivity they just settled there and it is amazing:)) ok that was a huge paragraph all about iguanas😂
@InLiquidColor6 жыл бұрын
That's amazing! Thank you for sharing that about them. Perhaps they were a regionally endangered species which would make more sense that I hadn't heard about the plight yet. So happy to hear they're plentiful in Ecuador! I have to ask, are red tailed boa constrictors very common there? I used to have some as pets and I love them so much! Rainbow boas too, but I hear they're a bit more illusive hehe.

I hope you’re feeling a bit better. Chronic illnesses are so exhausting, even without new and exciting crises. I love the zebra bag I got from you. It’s a lot softer than I expected and the lining is all satiny and nice. I didn’t think it looked particularly large when it arrived but it holds a crazy amount of stuff! Zebras are kind of the mascots for my medical condition (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) so I’m always way too excited about getting new zebra things.

I hope you feel better soon, and that your condition becomes more manageable. As a type I diabetic, I have lots of sympathy for others with chronic health problems. I had a thought while you were working on your painting. You might want to show a few sketches done with a limited palette, which would perhaps be simpler for you, but very instructive for your viewers. I am somewhat surprised at some of my friends who never seem to have learned how to mix colors or how effective it can be to use just a few colors in a painting instead of every color one can.
@InLiquidColor6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Lisa! I'm working on some skillshare classes that will cover some of what you mentioned. I do try to work with as few colors as possible (if you check out my AAC video from last week I used only three in that one!) and have a whole series on color mixing if that interests you as well. The only time I usually use more than a few colors per painting is when I am playing with new colors/supplies :)

I am sorry to hear about your pain getting worse. Am across the big pond having fibromyalgia as well: I guess we share in the stomach pains I know they flare up sometimes and since the bowel system is basicly one big muscle we're kind of screwed in that department. Not sure if this in anyway helps you,since fibromyalgia may be one name it is different on each person: I just had an Iron IV Drip wich kindof makes a world of difference in my tremmors/keep in mind that I do have Pernicious anemia on the side - fibromyalgia never comes alone,does it - so do make sure to have your blood checked on b12 values. Though it looks like a vitamin disorder it actually requiers you to be on a lifetime of injections. Please make sure to check as untreated it causes a shitload of pain. If you have a question on blood references,please contact me on fb, have seen a LOT of unintentional mistakes in the b12 category made by professionals. I am more then willing to help you with correct treatment info for your md and your md can call me if she/he wants to verify my sources. PS this may be a Duh for you: but fibromyalgia is really good in telling you that you do to much and your body needs a break :P
