ya - thats what i mean - sticks then engages hard - bang. revving high on idle is kinda normal and then falling off is too.

is the clutch banging like a real hard engagement? if so could be sticking because of wear, binds up and then lets go. time to take it apart and look.

a longer bolt with the same thred as the bolt u took out works just screw it in to the shaft hit the bolt until shaft it out of chaincase then unscrew the bolt and pull shaft rest of the way out

Great vid Louie, just curious why you didn't put new rollers in the secondary when it was apart? Those clutches are prone to broken rollers.

On my 2018 ski doo 600 I pulled the center bolt and the secondary popped off the shaft and we used a compression tool to change everything out

It seems like it sticks after it engages though. I'm thinking it might need a rebuild or good cleaning. I work all day so I don't have much time to work on it, but I'll look into what you're saying.

your belt is slipping, you need to put vents on it. check out first place parts for their vent kits.

if it revs too high your primary clutch weights are probly too light, i had 77grams on my F7 for trail riding for it to keep a steady 7900rpm (peak hp) but i did more snow riding than trail so i switched to 75grams so the sled reved a little higher and had a little less hard time in the deep stuff. But i admit the fact that its slipping is a little weird, read up online what the proper clutching should be (weights and clutch springs) forums help out alot, and then compare your setup to others

It engages fine, but it seems like it might stick or something? I noticed it idles around 3500 RPM then slowly falls. Not sure if that is an issue? Thanks so much for the reply!

hey my 05 500ss revs way to much in deep snow and then the belt slips i was wondering if i instal a clutch kit if it will help

Hey Louie if you could answer this question for me you'd save me a ton of researching. I have a loud knock coming from my primary clutch when I give it gas and it engages. I was wondering if you had any idea what it might be? It's a 2006 Skidoo MXZ Renegade 800 HO PowerTEK. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Needs to rebuilt doing mine right now had same thing going on my rollers were toast chewed up my ramps was never blown out/cleaned properly. I just did a complete rebuild. Tearing the secondary down today to check all that out.
