“18 and Life”, “Youth Gone Wild”, and “Wasted Time” are some other great songs of theirs. Many of their songs were of serious topics and about true events. And Sebastian was 6’ 3” and a handsome guy, BUT what the younger folks don’t probably know is that when you see pictures and videos of gorgeous ladies and very handsome men from the 1980’s and 1990’s, THAT’S HOW WE ALL LOOKED BACK THEN! 😉

This song is not your typical power ballad love or breakup song. The girl he’s remembering was his wife that died. That’s why Sebastian is singing with a bit of anger in his voice from losing her. The guy walking around was her husband and he was crushed by her death and lost everything because of that. Now as I’m explaining the song I am tearing up because I just realized that I now relate very much to this song and this is the first time that I’ve heard it in a while. I buried my wife last Friday, 8/9/2024. She suffered a catastrophic stroke that took her life in the blink of an eye at just 58 years old. 😢

Songs like Sweet little sister, Here I am, Midnight/Tornado, Riot Act, Slave to the Grind... will help you understand why the band was known for hard-hitting sound; but even the more powerful ballads from their second album, namely : Wasted Years, Quicksand Jesus, and In Darkened Room may do the trick as well.

Sebastian Bach was the first metal singer to perform on Broadway in Jekyll and Hyde. He also was on the TV show, Gilmore Girls as a band member of Lane's band. He was also on The Masked Singer, videos of him are on youtube.

Wasted Time is one of the best songs! Lyrics are so powerful! Its about Steve Adler, former drummer of Guns and Roses. He was heavily addicted to heroin and got fired from the band. Thank God he cleaned up after a stroke and still rockin! 😊Sebastian's voice is just WOW!!!!

Nah.... When Skid Row first came out us guys weren't calling Sebastian Bach effeminate and way too pretty. In fact, it was just the opposite. Sebastian was a vocal powerhouse. Guys wanted to be him, and girls wanted to f*#k him. Skid Row was awesome.

Listen to Erik Grönwall sing Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You, it's the best cover I heard since Whitney Huston did here's. And Mariah Carey's Without You, these two covers are two of the best I'll heard lately. In 2009, Erik won Swedish Idol and performed the specially written song Higher in the final. On March 23, 2022, it was announced by Eddie Trunk that Grönwall is replacing ZP Theart as the lead singer of Skid Row. In March 2024, Erik announced that he was leaving Skid Row for health reasons after being diagnosed with leukemia.

Yeah this is a power ballad. Youth gone wild and Monkey Business are rock. Sebastian is his real name. Bach not so much. And ALL angles were his angles. He was beautiful. And he actually has much better range that Tyler. He can scream up there but he can also hit it clean. Tyler can't do that.

Personally I like my bands to have variety, not every song needs to be 'HARD HITTING', kind of like your videos some are good upbeat, and every now and then they are more on a down note. Being that humans go through varied emotions why would ANY BAND EVER make every song the same?
