In SL I heard DH was easy so I switched from my feral druid who was 2k rating (not amazing) and couldn't get past 1600 on my DH. Idk why but DH just didn't click to me, I died super fast constantly.

Preservation evoker is so so easy to play. Positioning doesnt matter at all for newer players at lower rating because of cc immunity and easy escape abilities.. The skill floor just depends on being able to aim some massive aoes, which if you've played any other videogame shouldn't be a problem.

Exactly, Easy Class doesn't mean Easy Game, it just means you can focus your attention onto other difficult things which is why I'm all about the easier play style. It feels less cluttered too, like for Example, Smash Bros characters at their core have an easy kit, but the game itself is extremely difficult because of the competition. Same as League of Legends and stuff like that, League wouldn't be more fun if you had 20 hotkeys, it would just be more annoying.

Glad to see that unlike many people i've talked to into the past, you have the right view on feral. Been playing the class since BC, and even tho it changed a lot during the years, one thing that never changed is that as a feral you have to do a lot of stuff : dps, CC, dispel, healing. You need to constantly change target/focus, so it's a very dynamic gameplay, while playing safe, not getting caught in cat form when the switch on you comes. The loss of the instant clone and the reduced range as feral really changed the way you aproach game, and his role as a controller changed a bit, making it way harder for him to land CC at the right time, so there's a lot of clone baiting early, whether it's to insure you'll land the CC at the right time, or just to bait interupts for your healer. Been playing the spec since it existed and never got bored of it, it's just so much fun to play, the diversity of his toolkit makes it really enjoyable, and it can have a lot of impact during a game if you know the ins and out of it. Overall even if i won't be playing dragonflight, i'am just glad they removed the single target dot gameplay, wich was really horrible while being the polar of what feral is supposed to be. Giving a bit more power back to shred/bite also allows for more flexibility gameplay wise.

I love shadow priest and for some reason I don't find it hard in pvp. Some classes just click because the compliment your playstyle. However since Shadow is the only priest spec I like I don't see him becoming my main since other classes have more then 1 fun spec to play. Still most fun ranged next to ele shaman.

I don't think that MM hunter is easy. Sure doing damage is not hard, but you are so vulnerable to almost anything that goes for you. Being aware of cooldowns to get away, also cc more targets and not get yourself into a bad position is hard. You also have no spam cc so having bad decision making almost instantly loses you games. If you also add pet management to support your teammates with roar or freedom.. I don't see how it's even comparable to basically all melees and many casters either. I played all classes and I would put MM hunter into moderate for Beginners, since you still have to have good decision making with your movement to survive and cc to win games. Then I would actually put it into really hard to actually master it on a high level. Compare that to almost anything besides Rogue (Sub) or Druid (Resto/Feral)... those are the 3 hardest classes to master by far!

SV is quite strong in 2v2 / 3v3 but in RBG I've found myself switching to MM or BM just because being in melee range often results in insta death. BM is great for sustained damage on a target while MM feels like your a ranged rogue looking to pick off or burst down weakened targets (going lone wolf + camo).

Ironically, the two classes I play are Feral and Fury as my two mains, and Feral is the easier for me, and the one I'm better at(almost 300 MMR higher in ss). I'm a brand new player, so that may have something to do with it, but I think it's mostly a playstyle thing. I can see where some might have more trouble with Feral, as it has like twice the number of buttons in the core rotation, but for me I'm finding it easier to execute while staying generally alert in combat, as it's more of a real rotation. Abilities are more or less pressed in predictable orders, and I'm able to practice that outside of combat(I've spent quite a bit of time practicing on dummies). The struggle I'm having with Fury is that there is basically no rotation, so I can't really practice it. What needs to be pressed next is entirely based off like 3 procs, each of which has a like a 1/4 chance of proccing on every hit, and the GCD is so fast. So while it is just 5 buttons, the only way I've found to nail the correct order is to hard tunnel on my ability bar and buff bar, which makes me terrible at seeing what enemies/allies are doing. I haven't really spent much time practicing the rotation on a dummy, because it's so simple, and after 5 minutes of practice I already felt like I was nailing it 100%. The problem is that while it's simple to perfect when staring at the ability/buff bars, I have to stare at those bars. The Feral rotation is way more buttons, and way more complex, but I can rely a lot more on muscle memory, which allows me to stay watching enemy cooldowns/actions better. I think this increased awareness is why I'm rated higher on Feral. Am I missing something on Fury? How do you know what to press next without watching procs? and how do you watch procs while also watching enemy cast bars? Could be an age thing(I'm in my 30s), but to me a 10 button rotation that can be practiced is seeming easier than a 5 button rotation that is based more on procs, which is hindered by my slower reaction time. I also just find Feral more fun to play, since there are more things to do(switching targets to spread bleeds, different forms, healing, etc.). As a Feral, the only melees I really haven't figured out how to beat are DH and Rogues(mainly Ass). DH's just seem to do so much damage. I'm very often top damage as Feral, but whenever there's a DH in the game, it seems like they beat me 9/10. You ranking them as the easiest to play makes me feel better about my play on Feral honestly. It also kinda makes me want to try DH. I wonder how long it would take me to pick it up to the point to where I can surpass my Feral? Is it more rotation based, or proc based? For ranged dps, the Shadow priests seem really strong. As a fury main, idk what build youre playing, but if it's the annihilator build you just spam bloodthirst and rampage tbh. you dont need to pay attn to procs as much as you think, other than maybe your trinket if you want to maximize dmg. considering the other procs you get are baked into the rotation, you nearly have 100% uptime, if you train 1 target; which is essentially what you want to do anyways as fury. If procs are that important to you, I'd suggest making an obnoxious WA that will let you know when you can do big dam.

Disc requires precise mana management and super positioning as it doesn't have many kiting tools. When healing I've played mostly Resto druid and in my opinion it's easier than disc since you can't be interrupted in a lot of things and mana isn't just as bad. When the opposing team has a priest I'm almost guaranteed to win on mana.

Weird! I was just typing that on another comment. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I played WoW til Wrath as a Rogue main, I never had to use shift click. I feel like unholy is one of the highest skill ceiling melee in game. I 100% disagree on the easy rating for it. Managing the pet position to be able to land the pet kick along with your other 3 CC puts it up there in terms of ceiling with things like rogue. Frost deserves it easy placement though, it's more complex than fury and havoc but still fairly simple.

The easiest classes are those, that fit your style, it's irrelevant how high the skill cap might be on paper. Think about it like a subject at school. Some will be fun, others not. But each subject has it's difficulties and complex problems, hell, some people find quantum physics easy while the majority of people can't even spell it right. Therefore there is no hard or easy class by general definition. Try all classes from lvl 1 to max and change the specs until you know the class. If it doesn't 'click' drop it and try a different one until you get the feeling, that you don't have to min max the dmg, heal, dmg mitigation, just play and if it happens that you have fun without thinking too much about it, you found the right class for you. One reminder: Classes can change, therefore don't just get stuck and think that only one class/spec will be the best for forever. Sometimes experimenting can bring new fun along the way.

I must admit I shamelessly chose to play havoc since I heard it's easy. Even with it, my performance is ridiculously bad. I'd take an easier class any day, should one exist. I need all the help I can get. =) Interestingly enough, I've tried over the years also playing enh shaman, arms warrior, sub rogue, both DK specs and feral druid. Regardless of what I choose, my rating hard cap is always a little bit over 1500. For some reason, I can't see the difference. Ah well.... We'll see how it goes in Dragonflight. I think I'd need a class without the movement controls. =P

As a former shadow priest main I could say that in this expan SP is not that difficult any more, you have like 4 different instant ccs, and insane damage on most of his abilities I've been playing SP and Boomkin (always plays this two) and at least for me it is easier to just get blasted against melee with Boomkin if you don't play correctly they will just make you disappear with SP you can stun them, fear them, root them and you have one of the most tedius silence

I could see destro being moderate, though I could also see it being mostly hard rather than moderate over affliction, simply because of the fact that destro revolves 100% around hard casts to really do DMG unlike affliction. If you're not casting a chaos bolt or incinerate you're not doing dmg. Whereas affliction, you're still doing really good DMG even without casting by letting your dots do the work, casting rapture most definitely adds some nice DMG, but it's not an absolute requirement to be able to kill. What's been making this increasingly rough for destro specifically, just because of the insane mobility creep and disruption that melee classes have. Personally I'm wondering how well the precog talent will end up being, I feel like it could be good, we'll see in time once the season starts

As destro you're kinda forced into playing a gate/conflag/sb build just so you can still do damage while a rogue/dk/dh/war/feral rides you with stuns and interrupts literally 100% of the match every match. And that makes your damage waaaaaay nerfed. Like yeah, if you can slip away and get off a few chaos bolts you'll probably kill someone, but good players don't let that happen.

@@jesuisradmusic at the end of the day it just comes down to knowing your opponent and how they think, if you know that they know you wanna hoj and they use reflect, you can hold it and once ward falls off, hoj. Good players try and time the reflect with the GCD, so it's knowing little details like that and playing around it. Hard to do? Yes very, but very rewarding if you pull it off? Also yes. I still play a traditional destro lock like old school destro, very setup based and I play around knowing how my opponents are going to play, I do it with pre-rifting stuns, pre seducing charges, porting others, coiling stormbolts or other stuns to reduce their value, it's all these little details that ultimately determine destro tbh

I´ve played all warlock specs a ton n love both affliction n destro ( fk demo ) and you´re both right n wrong. Affliction requires alot more multi tasking since if you dont maintain your dots on all targets you kinda dont fill a perpose at all where as destro is more reliant on setups where they simply pump n dump a target in one go. Both are of course prone to getting mongo cleaved n i would certainly say that affliction can handle the preasure better than destro. Destro has multiple schools that makes interrupts far less punishing and both specs are reliant on hardcasts. Destro has quite alot less to keep track of and a more streamline way of dealing damage so i would rate destro as easier for the sake of having more magic schools n a more one dimentional role.

@@MrJeremydb91 Destro is not harder to play effectively than affliction, it is however worse than affliction atm which means it´ll require more effort to enable, but thats just how WoW works as a whole, the skillceiling compared to competitive PvP games is piss low which means that "easiest" to play and "hardest" to play tends to be whichever spec n class is op or crap at the time. In a vaccum where we assume both affliction n destro perform at an exact equal rate, Destro is easier to play effectively. In the end of the day both specs has decently high complexity n requires hardcasting. In the current meta i find both destro n affliction to be pure agony to play so eventhough i hate demo with a passion i feel forced to play it because of how dominant all the melee specs are with every spec seemingly having 300 different ways of stopping casts n infinite mobility. Demo handles crayon apes far better than both affliction n destro, its also the easiest warlock spec but truth be told, lately i´ve not even enjoyed arena when im winning because of the sheer frustration that comes from having two melee apes sitting on me like glue in about 80% of the games i play spamming their two button PvE rotation n using cd´s aimlessly as soon as they´re off cd. i´ll probally play my DK for a while, cant beat the apes, become the ape.

The easier a spec’s dps rotation is the more you can focus on other things like set ups, cc, positioning, defensive measures, enemy buffs and debuffs, as well as Cooldown tracking and management. In PvE it also lets you pay more attention to mechanics. So I’ve never seen “easy” as an insult. It’s a compliment lol

BUT is HARDER to land kills with this crap of a class, since it is slow, it has limited dmg and healing and defensive it sucks compared to others... So to have ezz rotation as a base, is NOT the whole picture... Also warriors, paladins and specially DHs, are ALOT more easy on rotational side and they also have better toolkit for landing kills.... So it will took u ALOT more time t figure, HOW to kill superior OP classes like DHs, Warriors, Feral, Rogues and stuff....

The idea is skill floor, or barrier to entry, how simple it is for someone to understand it going into it for the first time. Maybe I'm wrong but Evoker has some complex mechanics and abilities, especially because you have to play it differently than most other healing classes with its reduced range. I'm not sure I believe Disc is easy for new players to the spec, many people I talk to have a hard time with the concept of healing through damage so I think it's probably moderate at least. Once you're familiar with the class and at higher levels of play the challenging aspects of a class will change to favour different classes. It's like Fury; being able to do high damage in low rating is probably going to win you games even if you don't know how to play it well, can that be said for Evoker? I'm not too sure myself, but I think it's easy to punish a bad evoker for being out of position, and not using their abilities correctly.

I have no idea how you justify putting demo in easy just because "dogs do many damages and instant to press". Okay, but the dogs require hand of guldan stacking to ramp up the damage. And the burst damage of the spec is one of the hardest to execute. You need to chain cast different demons, weave in cc casts, and at any point if you get kicked during the burst, all the CDs are wasted. So you really need deep knowledge of the game to pull off demo burst. Otherwise you will look like an idiot after using half of your cooldowns that ramp up the other half, while you sit in CC unable to press the cooldowns that actually do the damage. Like for example, nether portal is utterly useless if you fail to cast around 10 soul shard spenders during the 15sec window. And summoning that huge amounts of demons and not getting tyrant off, is huge waste. And you need to make sure you have cross cc during burst, otherwise one priest/warrior/dh/monk/druid/etc can ruin your entire burst with one AoE stun/fear/root. Like the same logic could be used to put any ranged spec in easy tier. "Yeah shadow is super easy because most of your damage is in the dots, and you have 3 instant ways to apply them to people. And they proc more instant damage too, super easy". And the pet argument is just insanely dumb. To play demo well you need to micro your pet or it will lose you games. You have to manually use most of his abilities or they will ruin your game on auto-cast. Pet AI targeting also will fuck you up. If you keep pet on assist, they will randomly change targets and run around the arena doing zero dps.

I wouldn’t call any lock spec easy (other than when afflic is broken and all your insane damage is instant dots, which isn’t the case currently). Especially with how important it is to min max curses, fear DR, coil, and stun DR for demo. Mobility is not very noob friendly either Also, saying shadow priests have a lot of hard casting is odd. That’s not really true, and the gameplay you showed for shadow exemplifies that fact. There is some moderate hard casting for putting up VT, but there are also a lot of instant casts That being said, shadow is definitely still very difficult to play right now due to how confusing it can be to properly prioritize your rotation/utility

Skill-capped losing it's cred. All 3 mage specs are harder than any other ranged dps. Mage is arguably the hardest class in the game. Glass cannon. Get trained all game. 4+ full action bars of abilities, need to setup, LOS, control the fight completely with multiple CC, and complex mechanics like "ice flows" making you reconsider every single button you press on every global.
