Amen; I'm so relieved to actually hear a rock band, with a consistently-uplifting message. But the best part for me, is they're not afraid to be bold with their faith in Jesus. They don't "preach to the choir" by always shoving it in front, but they never try to hide it either.

Battle Child Pay closer attention; John often talks about Jesus at their shows and in interviews. Many of their songs have lyrics purposely designed for double meanings, while others are more obvious. For example, "The Last Night" was inspired by a friend of John's who was suicidal; he wrote it to stress God's love for the wounded.

Battle Child God created music, so the message is what's important - not the style. There's Christian bands that do everything from hymns to rap, hip-hop and grunge. God can use any of those for His glory, whether its our preference or not.

Well, they are. John co-founded the band in 1996, and they spent about ten years building a following. But when the Comatose album hit in 2006, it really put them on the map big-time. That release and its follow-up, Awake, have both reached Platinum status; 2013's album Rise had sold 345,000 copies as of July 2015.
