You don't stand on God word and then go off and tour with dark metal bands like Black Sabbath. No, they are promoting the darkness in their deeds but speaking like angels with their mouths.

I'm a new fan of Skillet. I told my boss I was anxious to go to a concert again after many years of groups not touring. She knows I listen to alot of the old Christian rock and she said, "Oh did you ever see Skillet? They're a Christian rock band." I always thought of them not as a Christian rock band, but as a rock band that were Christians. Bottom line I saw they were touring in my city (Reading, Pa) in the next month and me and my boss, both in our 50's went. I was blown away. They rocked- and John is a genius. I noticed he was able to talk about God and Jesus in a way that was very subtle and at times not so subtle, but was a very gentle way to introduce the gospel to people who may have never stepped into a church. They do an excellent job of being true to the Lord while walking in both worlds; kind of like Stryper in the 80's without throwing Bibles into the audience. Absolutely love these guys... and gals.

Yeah, just the reminder that people should pay Caesar his due as your (chosen) on-earth governmental leader, makes many people, yes Christians "political". It is part of "getting along" with your chosen surroundings, and being an integral cog in that particular area of life. Certain entities in our society don't want to contribute toward the better of the whole, so to speak.

I don't know if I missed it, but whenever Eric mentions he's talking to Skillet he refers specifically to John and Korey (the founders).... but what's odder to me is neither of them mention that Skillet is made up of more than just those two. I kind of expected John (or Korey) to make that known.... that Skillet isn't just those two, and that Jen and Seth (among other stand-in bandmates) are what makes Skillet... well.... SKILLET. I love the band so much and have been listening for well over a decade now, but that disappointed me a little.

I like what he said about Beastie Boys pretending to be rebellious to sell albums. I've paid attention to many bands from my teens who are still around who folded in 2020. Circa 1998, it was Rage Against the Machine: "F you, I won't do what you tell me!", System of a Down: "F the system, F the system!", and Tool: "Think for yourself; question authority." In 2020, all of them: "Just do what they say everybody, stay home, put on a mask, and get the jab. It's not hard." The true rebels are those who stand for Christ, stand for America, stand for children and the family...but that's also a testament to the founding of our country. This country was founded by rebels, and no, it wasn't easy. And no, it's not easy to keep it.

Most of my family is in Canada. Most Canadians have always been so nice. The woke left took advantage of this. The truckers protest was most heartbreaking. Always praying for the leaders and people in Canada and the States. We all need Jesus in these last days. The Lord told us it would be like this in the last days and He also told us not to be afraid or fearful, because in the end, He wins. Reading Ephesians and Philippians, and the end of Revelation almost daily is helpful. The Lord is with us. And, always be praying. We are all in this together.💔🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️🇨🇦🇺🇸

Hey, I'm a ginger! Well, yea, I guess I can be a hot head. Especially when it comes to false doctrine and the indoctrination of many many undiscerning, non Scripture reading Christians. Using anger to motivate and energize to preach and teach the Word, the Gospel, Christ, and defend the body of believers, and for the glory of God is righteous anger. I think this comes out in Skillets music.

The true meaning of words can be recovered by a strange and mysterious technique: I almost recovered the truth for these words: Still- the soul idenitifies hope with stillness. So when we say, "still..." Hope arises. Just- the word just is related to the bond between father and son. If we meditate on this proverb, we could realize more about it: Do you know that i can become just a good son as you are otherwise i couldn't have paid any attention to you or myself, just to seeking the truth. right- just rights in the constitution. yearning- knowing that someone believes in you. The bible says that this strange and mysterious technique is called carrying the cross. When we find the belonginess of each word, the bible says there won't remain any more problems in life only goodness.

If Jesus is King of kings and Lord of all, Christianity IS the establishment. An unbeliever is rebelling against God. Those at the tower of Babel were rebelling against the establishment. Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not withstand it." The church of Jesus Christ is the establishment others, including world governments, are rebelling against.

He said he didnt realize it was Christian music at first, and told me about Skillet because I am a Christian. He likes listening to this music. Did you watch the video or just write a judgement? Actually I seen them live and there is ZERO doubt where they stand and what they stand for. 1 - I Am not a great fan of this type of music but for you to say: "if I didn’t know Him…..I wouldn’t find Him here" is interesting because they have story after story of those deep into the 'bad' stuff coming to Jesus after listening to their music. 2 - If you follow them at all you would not say what you did. They are places in certainly a different culture than I am in but they are ministering in their arena. Does your 12 year old daughter pray and witness to a pot smoking, drug addicted singer who just lost a brother to drug overdose? Theirs did!

@@roguedisciple5961 I’ve listened to all of those, got the albums, and I know the AUDIENCE they’re for and that they are from the PAST. A Christian walk is a struggle, if you think it’s easy, you’re not doing it right. Even if Skillet keeps using them now it is because there are still those who are LOST and have left God and this is the way for the Lord to reach out to them and say “I see you, I hear you, you’re not alone.” since many refuse to enter a church out of hurt. So I say again God will use ANYONE, no matter how they look in the church because He is looking for those who will walk in FAITH in the DARKEST of places. Not just a church, not just Winter Jam, not just Christian tours, but are WILLING to share THEIR FAITH, which Skillet does and not all “Christian metal” bands do, and be a Light in the dark and are willing to share the Gospel with EVERY part of their lives. In other words, the songs that are listed above, is this band being TRANSPARENT, sharing a testimony of the Christian walk, which is NOT EASY FOR ANY ONE. And yet they do it pretty much everyday.

You just got done listening to a self proclaimed "Christian" rant about rebelling against government, when actually the word of God forbid's such behavior. Real Christians follow and obey the laws of the holy Bible. This guy inspires and encourages real Christians to defy and disobey God.

@@revelationsandvisions7477 He does not encourage anyone to defy and disobey God. Listen with your ears and your mind rather than your preconceived judgments. Do you know why the United States of America exists? England was our legitimate, lawful government. We rebelled. Why? Because of the tyranny of the Crown, and a desire for freedom. John is talking about restoring godliness to a nation that has fallen. And the verses you posted do not apply. The United States government is not our authority. In our Constitutional form of government, We The People are the authority. The government serves us. We do not serve them.

@@donmcc6573 do I know why the United States exist? IT Exist because God permits it. But you're saying, since a group of people defied the laws, committed a genocide of millions of native Americans, to steal the land from them, all in the "name of God", we should defy the laws of God as well. By all means, burn your Bible, and do whatever man tells you instead of God. The history of America is a shame, and a disgrace to God. Yet you glorify it? As for me, and my house, we will serve, honor, and obey God.

Listen to your own preaching…meaning be in your christian cult but quit trying to recruit more members because as you say, individuals have their own sovereignty and “ The Church” has no authority over them or society

Remember, everything you dont like or disagree with is the actual devil. This is why the church is collapsing. Also this guy's a massive hypocrite and not following the Bible because he just didn't want to. Talk about worshipping yourself.
